| Lately I've been having a really hard time keeping track of important stuff. I've reorganized everything, forced myself to become a neater person, and finally gotten all my stuff sorted out. (I lived with a really messy roommate and allowed myself to fall into rather unhealthy organizational habits) However, I seem to have a chronic problem with really important stuff disappearing. I think this is perhaps because I am going between my sister's apartment, my new apartment, and three houses (sorority house, parents' house, boyfriends' house). I am pretty sure things are being stolen but I can't quite puzzle it out. So far, a brand new GPS, a blanket, a down comforter, and two strands of pearls have gone missing. I feel so disappointed in myself, because I understand that when my parents (I'm still in college) give me things and they expect me to take care of them. I've asked people to stop giving me nice things cause I feel like if I can't take care of them, that I shouldn't have them. I've tried very hard, but it seems as if nothing is working. My parents are even having me file a police report for some of the pearls, and I had caught a girl going through my sorority house in places she shouldn't have been (several items were stolen last year, mostly unimportant stuff). I also have a terrible time remembering where I put my things. I usually put important things in a "special place" so I can find them, but usually I can't even remember where the special place is until years later. I feel like my brain has been replaced with a wheel of cheese. The bad thing is, I really don't care so much about the items, just feeling terrible for disappointing the people who give them to me. Is there anything I can do to fix this? |

| If people are stealing from you there isn't anything wrong with you, except maybe that you're too trusting. Maybe get a lock for your door?

| Well...see the thing is, I don't think I lost more than 1 item. I think I misplaced the rest. The door had a lock, it didn't work, I tried to get it fixed through my college but gave up after nobody came. Shouldn't have done that for sure. |
