Default Inspirational/Motivational Personal Development on YouTube!

YouTube - Leading@Google: Srikumar Rao

Here's a great video I found - hits all the bases on personal development. Srikumar Rao addresses how highly creative/intelligent/ambitious people can find and work toward their passion.

Just keep the window open in the background and listen while you work / check email

Anyone have any other good inspirational talks (e.g. from YouTube or TED talks)?

I thought it was a pretty good video. As he mentioned, none of it is his material, but he does a good job presenting it.

This is one I found just recently. It's Randy Pausch, who was a Comp Sci prof at Carnegie Melon. He's accomplished some amazing things in his life and more importantly, has led his life in a very inspiring way. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer but if you watch the video you wouldn't even know it after 5 minutes. If anything, his cancer seems to make him appreciate life more. It's long (1:15ish) but well worth it.

This is a three part series on my favorite subject, positive psychology, by Shawn Achor. You can search youtube for each part but for convenience sake I've got them all together in this post I wrote on it. The talk is called 'The Science of Happiness and Potential' and all three parts combined comes out to about 21 minutes.

Randy Pausch gave an abridged version (10 min) of his Last Lecture on Oprah. I highly, highly recommend to everyone to watch the full version but if you're short on time do watch the one on Oprah.

Found here: YouTube - Inspirational Speech by Dr. Randy Pausch: The Last Lecture

Thanks, Stu. I watched the entire talk. The Harvard student statistics were shocking. 80% reporting depression. Though I find it hard to believe that college students have 0-0.5 sexual partners over 4 years... Nevertheless, many people at upper-tier universities find little time to be truly happy. MIT students put IHTFP on their class rings (stands for I Hate This ****ing Place). I would guess it's more due to lack of sleep and other bad health habits than negative psychology, though.
