| Multiple Intelligences: What Are Multiple Intelligences? Multiple Intelligences I think its very handy to know how you like things to work, theres tests to discover whats your intelligence You can build up the all the intelligences. Instead of having one intelligence it is claimed that we have several different intelligences. These are listed below: Kinaesthetic - Body Smart Linguistic - Word Smart Logical - Number Smart Interpersonal - People Smart Intrapersonal - Myself Smart Musical - Music Smart Visual/Spatial - Picture Smart Naturalistic - Nature Smart NOTE: that IQ tests are based only on logic and linguistic (so are schools) |

Well, I am sure you found some wiki that informed of all the tangible intelligent aspects of ones persona. I have only been here 34 years, and have yet to find any undefiled human conscience capable of defining my being. Science is believing what is found and religion is knowing what is not. "I AM that I AM." So how could I find myself to judge what you are? No matter what testable scientifically religious category I find myself to put you in. (Though, I don't.) You are that you are. I will however end with a question: Do you have a question? |

Hey supertom thanks for the links. After taking the test in that first link, I must say that this place has a better test and results IMO. The descriptions for my top three intelligences were spot on! Its very interesting , I am going to learn more about this. |

So I took the test on the first link. It was interesting, but it was more of a self view test. It didn't really test true understanding of the subjects. I do find IQ tests somewhat obscure, but they do have a logical method of perceived understanding and rationalities. This test was really a questionnaire that averaged the responses of each subject.

Yeah, this is a very interesting subject. In our young development we craft certain personality traits and behavioral patterns that are very strong by the time we hit maturity. My parents split at an early age and my mom was at work all the time, so I developed a very strong "learn it on your own" mentality. The trick is creating an environment that suits you best, which can be a big challenge. |

I took the test from the first link; I scored highest on musical intelligence (like I should, since I'm a musician!), and lowest on visual intelligence. Which I should score low on as well, I cannot picture anything in my head for the life of me. (Don't ever ask me to give you directions, you're sure to get lost! Apart from intrapersonal smarts, which scored 2nd highest after musical, everything else was the same across the board. |

Your only really shuold have ONE Developed intelligence, but you can learn to develop the others, for me logic would be at the bottom lols. But the thing that got me was that teachers are logic and lingustic because they were the ones that did good at school ....... you can see the cycle |

I am a very logical & visual person. I'm a highly visual spatial thinker that switches between picture and movie type high fps depending on some variables. Also very logical but in a very visual way. I love my style of thinking and wouldn't change it for the world as it is my world. I can go further if people are interested.

What kind of pictures do you see when you think / what kind of movies do you see when you think? (Bright, cheery? Do they come with sound? Like, is it an entire sort of 'visual sensation' type of deal?) What sort of things do you like thinking out the best? And when you think of concepts like "love" or "security" or "being the best", what kind of pictures do you see? | |

The only real drawback but can be a major one at times can lie in speaking / arguing with another individual. I understand what they are saying the way I always do, visually. The bad part comes when the other person doesn't understand me as easily as I'd like. I guess this issue can be quite common for my personality, INTP, but I believe it is particularly bad for me. Because I do everything visually, I also basically speak visually. Pictures don't come out of my mouth of course, but English is like a second language for me. When I say something, I first see the pictures in my head and I translate it to English for them. I'm not that different, I actually speak quite articulately. But sometimes, the person doesn't understand the point I am trying to get across because they get caught up on one or two words / dependent on hearing a specific word from me to get the point. I speak in pictures so I find it very frustrating when someone trips up on a tiny part of what I said. For example, I try an explain to someone an idea I had and they don't get it at first so I basically say the same thing in different ways till they get it. If two of my friends are there and I am trying to explain an idea to one of them, the other person there that I explained to earlier can speed things along by quickly saying it in a way that most would understand quickly. It's worse for arguments, some people use a lot of semantic type tactics to win an argument picking my words one at a time, take it out of it's context (or my picture), and play the gotcha game by disputing the official definition. I can do that as well but it is a waste of time. In regards to your concepts question, it depends on the context. If I just think about a single word out of context, the default is either a first experience with that word or if something just recently happened such as if I recently fell in love with someone, the default picture for the word love is the person I am in love with. Being the best is usually the same as I have big goals so I see myself accepting a nobel prize. I hope that gives you enough details, if you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them.
