| Hey, whats up everyone. I've noticed recently how much negativity flows through my mind, and how much it affects me, especially after reading "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen. I'm determined to make a shift in my thinking. My mind is way too destructive and its pretty scary, to be frank. What are some positive thinking exercises/ideas/games/etc. that I can use throughout the day which can help me become more aware of my negative thinking and change it into a more healthy thinking. One idea I heard of is putting a rubber band on my wrist, and smacking myself with it every time I have a negative thought. Any others? |

| I carry a small notebook and pencil in my pocket always. And whenever things come into my head, I just get it out and jot them down. Perhaps an interesting thing to do would be to examine some of these thoughts (write them down and look at them on a later date) and track what they actually mean to you? Why are you having them? With a better understanding you might be surprised at what you could discover in the way of solving the problem. It could be overall more benificial than flicking your wrist with a a rubber band snap to punish yourself. But I must say, I somehow like that idea. |

| I've found it helpful just to learn to recognize the negative thoughts when they appear. Then come up with some visual image in your mind to help you move from negative to positive. Mine is moving from a mucky, nasty, grimy stream of negativity into a calm, pristine, clear stream of positive thought. |

| As previously posted in: Positive Thinking To accept that one is in need of positive thinking, one accepts that they are in negative thinking. To believe in the negative is anti-self (against oneself), for oneself is ones universe. We are only what we perceive. You are what you believe. Again, to believe that you are negative then you are... It is not a matter of believing that makes the devoted. It is knowing. GOD did say "I am that I am." and he created us in his image. 1. I know that I am here for a reason. (I AM that I AM) 2. I know that I am here to learn. (from those willing to teach) 3. I know I am here to teach. (to those willing to learn) 4. I know I know nothing. (compared to the collective and uncollected) 5. I know I can learn anything. (from those who are especially those who are not) Last edited by Craiz8 : 06-03-2008 at 05:13 AM.
