What online resources do you use for keeping things like grocery lists, to-do lists, etc. Or do you use an online storage service that lets you save documents and access them from wherever. Also be nice to have a place to store a few important things (securely) like a scan of my insurance policy - in case the house burns down. I've tried several less-than-optimal systems - such as writing down things on a post-it note and hoping those things make it home and onto the main list - or keeping electronic docs saved on a key drive and bringing it back and forth (unless I forget to - which seems to only be when I really need it) between work and home. Looking for something simple & preferably free |

I use my google personalized home page. I added the same module five times for different lists... If you search for "to-do list" in the addable modules, it is the very top one. Right now, I have my life goals, 5 year goals, and short term goals, as well as my daily planning and a to-do list, that way, I can keep track and edit each one on one page. |

rememeberthemilk.com is nice. Personal and small business information manager: Get organized, Backpack too. But I strongly suggest you only use web apps for web related content (bookmarks, rss feeds etc.. no text files, phone numbers, todolist or notes etc). Simply because these are things that are useless if you are offline, while the others must be available being at any time being offline or not. That's the reason why i dropped google docs. |

I'm using Firefox... To tell you the truth, I haven't tested it with IE at all. The module seems to be using javascript pretty heavily, so if javascript isn't enabled (or Macs/Safari implement javascript differently), you'll likely have a few problems with it. |

For my lists: TRACKS::Login Very nice GTD inspired context-based list service, only £1 or something silly per month, in terms of time saved it's very profitable! |

Yes--if you sign up for a gmail/google account you get all these wonderful things you can use to keep track of your plans, to-dos, etc. They have a calendar, a Docs and Spreadsheets section (which you can access anywhere anytime) and all sorts of other neat things. If you use Gmail you can access it very quickly as you check your email. I keep my plans, propositions, tracking sheets with Google Docs and Spreadsheets. You can even collaborate with others (gmail or non-gmail users) I think you can sign up even if you don't want an email account, but ask me if you want an invitation code. |

I use Google calendar combined with Rememberthemilk -they work nicely together. Used to use NextAction when tried to implement GTD -it's a great tool too ,but it's not online which was a limitation -also I didn't keep up with the GTD at the time. I use Google spreadsheet from time to time ,but not too much. |

As for free online storage: Check out GMail (mail.google.com), they give you around 3 Gb of space. Couple that with this Windows explorer extension here and you've got access to a 3 Gb online hard drive right away! It's super easy. |
