Default Motivation

I find it for awhile and then it goes. I'm really motivated right now to stop biting my nails. Almost a week since I have bit them.

BUT I want to move this motivation on over to other things on my plate right now, Like exercise and losing weight. I got 30 more lbs to lose to get to my pre-pregnancy weight(after 3 1/2 years LOL) and then I had quite a bit to lose to begin with. Its not hard at home we simply don't buy the junk but its at work and so hard to stay away sometimes.

Have you considered trying to get some leverage on yourself?

I wrote an article about this just recently:

For me it usually helps to imagine the benefits of my goal.

If I for example wanted to lose weight, I would try to focus on what benefits it will give me and not on the weight itself. Your weight is just a number, but it influences a lot of things in your life and these things are better motivators than a number.
