| it's quite a definite quantitative measure applied to a qualitative thing. applying this sort of measure to you life makes you measure your life with someone else's values. Kinda like using a child's medicine cup to fill your car with oil. It's great for measuring medicine to give a child but useless for a lot of other things. Just because someone else thinks certain things are important, doesn't mean they are. How did you come up with 40%? |

| My apologies. I had assumed when you said 40% you had taken some online test or something. Anyone who is on a personal development journey will say there are areas in their life they are improving. There is no-one who takes their journey seriously who will tell people they are 100% happy with their life. I think you'll find the key is to be 100% happy with the actions you are taking to progress your personal development journey. |

| Srikant, I'm pretty happy with my life. The key: defining what 100% looks like, identifying and dismantling your stoppers, and creating an action plan for getting where you want to be. Fear of failure is a common stopper. So is living your life according to someone else's success map. Brett

| I'd say I'm about 75% right now. There are some definite areas I'd like to imporove in, but I try not to define my happiness based on my position. I also try not to place seeking happiness in the future. That has helped me a great deal. =)

| If you live life to the fullest, if you experience everything and anything and let yourself into the vast, stormy ocean of life without hesitation then you will never settle for mediocrity again. No one or nothing can take away the sheer enjoyment of being and experiencing. How much do I live then? Not much at the moment, I hit rock bottom in many areas but I know how to get back. And I yearn for the stormy seas.

| Around 0.1%, with the other 99.9% being invested in the short and long term future. But don't worry i'm not gonna spend my whole life "investing". Real fun is going to begin soon

| Interesting thread.. Without calculating first, I'd say that I live maybe 10% during bad periods and 50% during good periods. As I understand, the measurement is the life you currently have compared to best possible life you could want right now using the ressources you have available. Yes, it really makes me think. I would be much happier if I got a bit closer to the 100%
