| Technically, every day we awake we are closer to our death. Should we internally then, classify boredom as a criminal act of negligence? Sitting on a sofa, killing hours, moving closer to our death, channel hopping, watching mindless nothings, looking forward to reality TV as our reality is watching non-realities. Wake up. Tell your lover in French you adore her. Read Victor Hugo or listen to Bruch's Violin Concerto No1 In G Minor. Go for a run. Feel your lungs burst at 5 am. Climb Ben Lomond in January. Lie in heather in Autumn and breath deeply. Go back to school. Learn Latin, Greek and read Homer as it was written. Challenge yourself. Learn to play a musical instrument. I dont know. Dont waste it. Improve. No regrets.

| Maybe judging boredom as "bad" is also a waste of time. I've spent a lot of time, laying in a nice, comfy bed, watching tv, eating ice cream. And I enjoyed every second of it. You know what the ultimate waste is? Doing something, and then judging it as "not enough." Wasting your time is less about what you do, and more about your state of mind. |

I love Hugo and Bruch's violin concerto too. Defining our own happiness is what it's all about. Brett |

I doubt in my later years I will be fondly reflecting on what flavours of ice cream I had But I may just recollect a few moments of magic from Les Miserables or On Liberty Everyone to their own...........;-)
