Default Nothing works except....

We are all talented people with plenty of opportunities and resources our way.We were born intelligent creative magnetic but in course we lose all this.
The primary reason is lack of action. As children,it is fine to dream and discover. But as adults we need to realize that action comes first.I have to disagree here with steve pavlina a little.I believe in the cause of law and effect as long as you do not expect the effect. You see action is in our hands. We should be even thankful that we can work, while there are several others that can't.I am 20 and yesterday i read a qoute from osho " If you have energy and you can work, there is no reason why you shouldn't.If you don't live this moment totally in work, you would end up in a psychiatrist's chair ten years from now."

So hat works for me is just doing it.I confess my goals are not clear in life. But that doesn't mean i am going to wait forever and whenever i start and do something i feel relieved ,i feel rejuvenated. And the less i focus where i have to go,the more i can enjoy the process. This goal to achieve the exact percentage kills me.I am now changing my mentality. And miracle of miracles the simple law of cause and effect works.Whatever i get is what i deserve.I don't want anythnig more.I have earned whatever i earned and i am happy. While time is there,i will not waste it in worrying about goals,i will just enjoy my work

I agree with you. Life is a matter of action. Fate will not lead you elsewhere if you solely wait upon it and do nothing else.

I mean, you can't sit on the coach the whole day and wait for miracles to happen. If you want something to happen, go for it with all that you are!

I agree. It's all down to action. Its the one consistent thread that runs through the popular PD books.

Actions speak louder than Words.

I completely agree, action drives results. No action, no results.

I actually just wrote an article about this. You can check it out in the link in my sig if you're interested.

Interesting article Jonathan.

I think you should really emphasize the point that we should Take Action NOW regardless of whether our route is clear or whether we have a goal in mind. Just start doing the things that we kind of know should be done and much of the clarity will materialise. One of the great cheats in life is the ability of humans to over analyze or read another book on the subject before we start. Its like polishing the golf clubs but never actually walking out on the course. Procrastination rears its ugly head everywhere.

Speak for yourself, srikant -- I, as an adult, don't need to realize any such thing!

If I don't live this moment totally in work, I will end up in a psychiatrist's chair? Osho, osho, osho. I think you've got it backwards.

You Super Action Figures seem to have got yourselves convinced that if you're not working, you're waiting, so you must act! But waiting is work, acting is not the same thing as working, and working vs. waiting is a false choice.

Sometimes the best action is just being.

We need to add desire to the mix here... to extend Angela's point, action without purpose means you're just spinning your wheels, and in those cases, action will actually get you into trouble. Action (including waiting, being, and purposeful inaction) needs to be infused with desire/passion/direction in order to hold them in alignment.

Actions without direction/passion/desire can quickly neutralize themselves, resulting in you getting nowhere... though admittedly, you'll get there fast.

I really like that Angela, sometimes the best action is just being.

I think a lot of times our lack of action is due to the fact that we think we should be something we're not and our over-zealous and burn-out action is because we're trying to be something we're not.

When we're living authentically, we'll naturally desire to take action, because we'll just naturally want to express our creative selves.
