Default mind-mapping

Does anybody here use mind mapping, its pretty good.

I remember they taught it at school but that was all wrong.

YouTube - Maximise the Power of Your Brain - Tony Buzan MIND MAPPING

Heres how it should be done. As a student its really effecetive and quick a lot better than just reading, cause you're linking and making associations as you go along.

I haven't learned how to memorise it yet thou

Yes, it can be pretty useful. I sometimes use FreeMind to mind map some stufs i am working on, can really help me to have a global and detailed view of it.
Although, whan I need to syntethize some concepts, and to explain ti to some other people, a good minmap is worth 1000 words.

I found useful to to take note with the Cornwell system too.

Mindmapping is indeed very useful and helpful if you know how to. It can also make things easier several folds.

I like using mindmaps, don't really like making them very much.

They do teach this stuff at school but what they teach is not that different from standard linear writing. They also force it upon the students sometimes and therefore the students hates to mind map even though they have no idea what it actually is.

I read Tony Buzan's books, he is pretty good.

I do find that using mind mapping is not that good for school. I have trouble making a colour full mind map with lots of pictures for physics, chemistryy, math, etc.
