Default How Do You Activate The Feelings For......

........ something that you have never experienced before?

The way I understand goal setting is that to attain or accomplish ones goal or goals, you need to "become with that goal". Or get the "feeling" from the already accomplished goal.

So, if that's the case, then how do you activate a "success feeling" if you have never experienced the goal.?

As an example: Let's say we wanted to attain a goal of losing weight, getting a promotion at work, buying our first house or winning a marathon race and we have never done or attained any of these goals.

From what I have read and researched, the starting point in this goal attaining process is to first: Relax and let the subsconsious mind take in
your goals/desires, but for this technique to become effective as a reality in your life, you also need to "feel" the reality of the goal already in existance.

So, for those of you that have accomplished your goals and have had an ongoing successful track record, how did you get the intial "feeling" to make them a reality? And for those of you who are working on your goals, what process are you using to make definite and measurable progress using your feelings?

Did you purchase the "imagination/visualization" module when you were created? If so, that's the tool. If not, see if you can upgrade...

Feelings really only come in two colors with the human model. Good and bad. Every other so-called feeling is really just a variant of those. So if you are imagining and visualizing and feeling good, you are there!

I think finding images that are in relation to your goal can greatly enhance your feeling of achieving it. The importance is using your imagination, not necessarily your rational left brain to help you feel the feelings of success. When you can visualize it, it helps you become more emotionally charged with a stronger desire to take action.

As for me I do not spend much time visualizing. I make up my mind: This is what will happen and I am going to accomplish it. I consider it done in the future.

Paul McKenna insists that the imagination is more powerful than willpower. I believe him, but that might just be because I'm totally brainwashed by his audio hypnosis meditations.

the guided visualizations often include the instruction that if you can't quite picture yourself at your goal (lower weight, more confident, whatever), then imaging what it would be like if you had all the resources you need in that area, including the power to visualize. The whole "act as if" mindset. Pretend like a little kid pretends, just to see how much power you can generate. Your body will respond to your imagination just like it would to physical reality.

Angela: Pretend that you have all the resources you need. That's excellent.

Angela, I was working overseas for 3 months on my lonesome () and I was terribly lonely. I was in dire need of positive thoughts and help to keep me on the job. I happened to buy PMKs latest book with an attched hypnosis CD.
I played it aloud on my room stereo every night going to bed: I dont know if it helped but it sure got me off to sleep Not kidding, after about 2 minutes I was in la la land.

Stephen: yes, the hypnosis cd is very relaxing! Paul McK says that it works even better if you fall asleep, amazingly enough. This morning I hooked Danger Man up to my ipod electrodes and he fell asleep with the Confidence and the Get Rich meditations playing (an hour or so total) and now he wants to do it every day, he woke up feeling so good.

I usually drift out, too, without quite falling completely asleep.

PowerUp, here's one stolen from Paul McKenna: if you can't quite imagine what success would feel like, try visualizing a person who does have that success (for instance, I use Richard Branson for both Confidence and Being Rich), and float your awareness into his body, see what he sees, hear what he hears, feel what it feels to be him and have the success you want. Then float back into your own body, bringing the good feeling with you.
