Hi, usually when I start my work day at morning 8-9 a.m., I usually feel sleepy, probably due to my metabolism, circadian rythm, etc. Sometimes when I do jogging 7 a.m., I can start the day more awaken, but unfortunately I can do this every day. So until my brain warms up, it is difficult for me to start to work effectively. In some places I read about some mental warming up techniques, like for instance take a number in your head and multiply by 2 and so on, until you can no more. I wonder if you use such or another warming up techniques. It would be also nice if these techniques are productive. Thanks !

I used to think I needed to "warm up" to the day. But as I drank coffee, read emails, the paper etc, I felt sluggish and unispired. The change i made is to get up and go! Just get moving as quickly as you can. Make the bed, empty the dishwasher, workout, shower and just keep rocking. this is the one major thing I took away from Tony Robbins. Do whatever you can to gain momentum and keep it going. If you feel sleepy in the morning though you might want to check on the quality of your sleep. Kelly

Hmm the first thing I do in the morning -- even before brushing my teeth -- is hop into the bath tube and take a relaxing, 30 minutes to 1 hour bath. I don't actually enjoy it, more like sleeping in the tube. That's how I flare up the brain pan anyways. You find your own way of doing things
