| I have just read (or more accuaretly, listened to) this book after Joley recommended it to me. I have to say I love it and a must read for anybody into self-development and I'm going to listen again this week and make some notes. The book brilliantly weaves modern and ancient wisdom and draws on some classic sources. Here is my question and I'm going to preface it by saying I don't know where I stand on it myself, which is why I'd appreciate other peoples opinions. Sharma uses a lot of quotes and doesn't attribute them to the original source. As he is telling a story, instead he attributes them to the leading Sage, Yogi Raman. I think this could be really confusing to readers or listeners that don't realize that they are not original quotes. Sharma does make mention of a number of books and some of the quotes come from those but even so, I'm not sure. |

| I'd noticed that too. He often weaves them into the story as well so it's hard to identify whether these are new quotes he's come up with or whether he's found them somewhere. I've also noticed that he references his own books in the stories he writes! It doesn't bother me that much, to be honest. Many of the quotes he uses but doesn't attribute to a source are very old and have been kicking about in some form or another for a long, long time. My favourite of his books is The Seven Stages of Awakening. P.S. Name is spelled JoEly!

| I thought you might like a change. It was either Joley or Stan and I decided to go for the former. There weren't many obvious quotes that I hadn't heard before, although maybe I heard them through his book via other sources stealing his stuff. Or maybe he stole quotes that other people that had stolen from quote stealing bastsrds that had actually originally stolen Sharmas stolen quotes? Yep, now I think about it I reckon that's exactly what happened. |

| Maybe you should write him and ask!
