| It's time for me to step away from my job. I was partly inspired by Steve's Love it or Leave It series, but I've been dragging my feet due to FEAR! And now I've gone and done it. Just now, I submitted my notice. My head is feeling sqwashed. I'm stepping out into the unknown. I'm trying hard not to panic. Yikees! I am bold inspiration, and my purpose is to boldly generate and faciliate free-flowing love and joy. (I thought saying that would help, but I still feel sqwashed and nervous! ai chihuahua. ai chihuahua. Too bad I gave up drinking. ai chihuahua. |

| Congratulations! Sometimes the only way we'll do something is to do something drastic. This hardly qualifies, given you've been mulling it over for a long time! Now on to great things... ...

| Congratulations! You have done a great, brave thing! It is something I would like to do, but when I think about it I am stumped with, "But what shall I do then?" So if I may ask, without taking away from the greatness of this: what do you plan to do now?

| Well, I really want a glass of wine. D'oh! I will be focusing on getting my coaching-to-breakthrough business and website going, which I've been dragging my feet on, and also just be open to all the fabulous opportunities for making a big difference in the world -- and being rewarded handsomely for it -- that I am confident are flowing in my direction even as we speak. I can hear them whirling and ebbing right outside my window! I've got a lot of writing to do. |

| Ding! Gratz! Woot! That is awesome, Angela! You truly deserve all the benefits of unemployment. |

| Good for you Angela - that takes courage and for that you should be very proud. A colleague left our company last month after 7 years and she was wavering about it for months. She'd had an in principle offer for nearly a year but she was frightened of the unknown. While she felt unappreciated in her job here she was comfortable but in the end she took the plunge and hasn't looked back. She's a completely changed woman. ...and you'll be the same.

| Great Move! I have gained so much inner strength and self confidence over the past few years by reading books and sites such as this that I am doing things now that I would never have dreamed of. My 'scary' (not so) current life position is....... Just emigrated to a new country with my wife and 5 young children on the other side of this good green earth. I am starting my own business from scratch, no family, no clients, no contacts. I have no income coming in and am living off a small supply of savings until I KNOW my buisness will take off. (which it has to in less than 4 months I care not a jot! I cannot fail!

| Wow, a girl said that to me not long ago. Trips me out. Anyway, I'm curious, Angela -- how are you... err... staying fed and whatnot without some form of income, and what do you plan to do to get income in the near future? I'm aware you mentioned your coaching business and website, but yep, those things tend to take a while to get started (I'm doing something sort of similar), especially if you haven't done them before. I'm really keen to see if there's some sort of secret strategy people with more knowledge/different beliefs do while they're in the void between "employment" and "an income you can live off from a personal business you just recently started with little-to-no business experience". I'm trying pretty hard right now to move away from employment, but if I was to quit now, I'd go broke, and as a result, start to starve. Ok, I could be creative and mooch or something like that (I could be homeless and do pretty well, it just wouldn't be enjoyable), but it'd be mighty hard being vegan doing that, and mooching isn't ideal (at least, it feels wrong to me).

| How did I miss this? Well done - I did this three months ago and yes, it's terrifying, but it's also incredibly exciting! And yeah, I know what you mean by compressed brain syndrome.

| I noticed that too. I used the word myself in the description - it was the first word that came to me. Angela, despite her femininity and youthfulness reminds me of the wise old Greek men in white robes who are so intelligent and pratical in dispensing very valuable advice and in dealing with the world. |

| These...are....not...tears....I...am...NOT....cryi ng -- this is just a sniffly cold..... I am so touched, comforted, inspired, and excited by your generosity and your encouragement, everybody. What an incredible support you are. I really seems magical to me to have you in my life. Thank you, from my bottom to my heart. |

I'm pretty confident about providing value and getting paid for it, even though I can't see the specifics of it yet. You know, yesterday I was very scared of the unknown, worried about not having a salary, and I was thinking if my boss offers me a ton of money to stay I would take it. But Danger Man and a girlfriend of mine said, "what good is it to have lots of money if you are unhappy and so many of your hours are not living on purpose? what are you going to spend it on that would make up for that?"
