I want to be a dancer too. I want to do the dancing all the rappers do. They do some pretty cool stuff with their legs lol. I believe they call it crip walk or smth like that. What I love about dancing is that it really is a tool for self expression. In what kind of state your in, what kind of emotion you are feeling, dancing makes you shake it off yourself, or makes it more powerfull if it's a good emotion or state! |

| Words could never begin to express it ... With salsa, there's just such intense passion one moment, then sensual slow smooth moves the next. The texture of the music determines the texture of the dancing. It is, awesomely lovely, and beautiful. The connection, the shared energy. It's like you've got this loving energy exchange going off between the man and the woman, just for that one song. I could easily bite my arms off, it's that good! (have just come back from a salsa night tonight). Defo recommend it. Jamie. |

Anyone tried Le Bop? It's a faster version of Ceroc. Originated back in the 1950's and also known as Dirty Jive. There's over 400 moves. I'm now into my eighth lesson. It's like learning a new language but it's great fun especially when I get to partner with an intermediate male dancer who knows how to lead his female partner.

I am a dancer. I'm cast at the moment as a featured dancer in the musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie". Last year I was a featured dancer in two other musicals. At the moment I'm working on improving my singing voice so that I can perform in a lead role! |

i lurrrrve salsa, rhumba, samba.....mmmm how could u not..oh i'm going off into la la land just thinking about it... i don't consider myself 'a dancer' in the sense that i care if i ever get 'professional' or aspire to be like anyone....i just LOVE it. i suppose i am 'a dancer' quite naturally...but i don't get hung up on it...which leaves me free to just enjoy myself..to let go and get lost in my mood (woteva that may be...happy like merengue, sultry ie rhumba, serious aka tango...ohh too much, too much), which by the way everyone picks up on and inspires them to just have fun...ahh sighz... been dancing since i was a little girl...i often thought if i ever took too many lessons or took it too seriously, i would lose the wonderful flow of it...the spirit of the dance...but now i'm thinking i'm doing the world a disservice...i mean what better way to contribute and inspire and raise the energy of the world than through just being me! me enjoying myself, me in absolute passion, joy...entranced..in love with the dance..hmm..what does everyone think, should i do this? how should i do this? to all u dancers out there...save me a dance |
