Default I need a hobby

I've been finding myself more and more bored lately, because i really don't have any hobby, or thing i can do for fun all the time. I do, do fun things, like hanging out with friends and snowboarding, but on an average day after school i will get home at 3 and watch 3 hours of TV, and be on my computer for 2. On top of that, ill spend at least an hour walking around my house, binging, and just lying around doing nothing.

I have way too much time on my hands, with is decreasing my personal effectiveness, because i can now procrastinate assignment because i have so much time, and don't have anything to look forward to after i finish my homework.

So far i have thought of a couple things,
Exercise, doing calisthenics, and aerobic
playing more music, i own a bass and a drum set and don't play them as much as i should
reading, its very fun, can be done anywhere, but sometimes takes to much mental energy tbh.

So, if anyone can give me some ideas of more hobbies, that are convenient, and fun i would really appreciate it.

Music is such a great hobby. At first you'll feel like giving up because you sound like crap and it can be hard. You just need to get rid of any expectations of how you should be. Set small goals and sooner than you realize, you'll be rockin!

-Personal Speaking: It might be in a Toastmasters or some other debating club

-Reading good books with present abstract ideas

-Writing (where you have feedback), it might be your own blog, a wikiproject like citizendium or a student newspaper.

In addition the question of what job you want to take after school is also one that could lead to a hobby.

Pulling out some random hobbies isn't the best way to help you.
You should post here your strengths and preferences. Do you prefer mental or physical activities? What makes you feel good? etc.

Try replacing your television viewing time with video games.

Television is mind rotting, video games can are creative and interactive.

Exercise is also a great hobby to pick up, I'm glad I picked it up myself.

I love the idea of reading a book with abstract ideas; if I were you, I'd take up exercising, then learning a musical instrument, then reading, in that order. Exercise gives you energy, instrument playing is such a great way to relieve stress, and reading... well, reading makes you more knowledgeable.
