I hope this isn't a duplicate of any down-forum challenges, but I've decided to take the plunge (again) and do my "Artist's Way" Morning Pages every day for the next month. At least three handwritten pages per day, every morning, thirty days. (Most of you are probably familiar with Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way" books, but for those who aren't, there's quite a lot of info at http://www.theartistsway.com) I usually go strong for the first three days and then drift off. But last fall, I transitioned from working full time to writing full time, and I'm also coping with the brain fog of early menopause (sorry if that's TMI! It's a particularly challenging month, as I may or may not be making a cross-country trip, and I may or may not be having oral surgery, and I always have too many writing projects going at once. Since I need to build in some accountability, I'll post my progress here every five days or so. If anyone else is doing MPs, I'd love to hear your experiences with the process! calluna

Hey, calluna. I just finished replying to Kaspian in another thread about the recommendation to pick up that book and do the exercises. Syncronicity?! Just wanted to wish you luck in your 30 day challenge. Sounds like you have a busy month ahead, but I bet this will be a source of energy and calm for you. Best wishes.

Well, so far so good. I don't know that I've committed to getting the clutter out yet...I'm totally obsessed with questions of politics, geo-politi-climatologic-economic issues, rather than my insanely long list of things to accomplish, trip plans, and a bunch of mundane stuff that would be better not floating around in my subconscious. But the fact that I can easily get there is good incentive to keep pushing through the resistance.
