Hi all 17 days ago, I started an early riser 30 day trial. Tomorrow will be Day 18, so I'm right on track. However throughout those 17 days, I've come up with other 30 day trials I've wanted to do. This includes talking to a stranger every day for 30 days, spending time every day to review a to-do list, exercise, etc. I was thinking of taking one of these and starting another 30 day trial in the middle of one. Do you think stacking 30 day trials is good, or might it cause you to lose focus?

Don't worry so mch about it. Try it, and see what happens. THere's no "right" or "wrong" way to go about it, and don't be afraid ot make mistakes. If you truly end up making PD a lifelong thing, then you'll make lots of them. I've failed 30-day trials before, too (really badly sometimes, too), but its all part of an experience. |

It's OK to start a new trial during another. I've been starting a new trial almost every week over the past couple of months. The key is to make sure you balance them. If you're doing a trial that fairly difficult than do something that's a little easier the next week. I see that you're interested in doing a "Talking to Strangers" trial. I actually started that two weeks ago: Life Experiment #7: Talk To Strangers Everyday For 30 Days | The Life Experimenter My biggest piece of advice for that is to join groups on Meetup.com that interest you. You'll be forced to introduce yourself to every meeting that you go to and you get to spend time doing things you enjoy. Good luck with you trials. -Allen Rinehart |
