Default Dont know how to prioritise my goals

The trouble is that there are so many areas that I need to improve on, and I dont know how to start. So far this year Ive just been plodding along, making minor progress in some areas and ignoring others. A lot of things can be solved by a 30 day trial type thing, yet I cant focus on all at once. I cant work out which areas I should work on first. And then there are some things which I know I "should" improve on, but I lack any motivation (e.g exercise or waking up earlier). If I try to focus on one aspect of my life, the others tend to get ignored. How can I work out which areas to improve first?

You can try working with the end in mind. Visualize how you want to see yourself in say 3 months' time and then work backwards to see what you need to get done first.

All the best,
Evelyn

Honestly, just take two or three things that can be "accomplished" with a 30 day trial, and run with them. Right now it sounds more like there's not one thing that's sticking out that needs to be fixed, but you just want overall improvement in your life. If all of the things you want to improve on are at the same level, just pick a few and work with those, then switch them up in the future if you need to.

My recommendation is method 2, start with the physical. Improve diet, sleep schedule and excersize and this will give you the energy to do whatever you need to do.

First thing? Just read Steve's blog posts. I reckon 80-90% of answers to questions here can be found just in hsi blog posts. Prolly about the same amount of info that one might need to know abotu PD is prolly in there, too.

The way I prioritize is by looking at which thing is causing me the most problems or harm. Then I choose that and break it down into very small baby sized goals.

Long ago Steve posted about using the "Carver Matrix" method. When done properly this is a great way to determine what goal would be the most effective / influential in your life:

http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...to-prioritize/

IMO, it should be combined with a "first things first, second things not at all" methodology. Success feeds success and I've found that accomplishments tend to stack up faster if you do them one at a time rather than trying to spread yourself across many goals at once. If starting a blog is going to produce the most beneficial results in your life then you have permission to put fitness and nutrition into a holding pattern until that job is done.
