I've been working on establishing some Goals and doing some planning after having never done any what so ever before in life, i'm only 23. I was ok up to creating a projects list but the 90 day plan I'm not sure how it should be written/formed. I know at first it won't be perfect and I'll need to perfect it for my personal use but any way someone could post sort of an example or template of how they do their planning like this. I don't want to be over detailed or under detailed and I'm sorta floundering at this part. Any input at all would be nice. Cheers, Timothy |

Hi Timothy,
Pick from point 4 above - this is what you want to accomplish during next three months; and group it under following sub-heads:
Month 1
Month 2
Month 3
Steve also wrote about it in detail - http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...planning-time/ Further, I would suggest that such discussion is better suited in Personal Effective forum - http://www.stevepavlina.com/forums/p...effectiveness/. There you will find greater response to such a query as this forum is meant to discuss posts made by Steve. Hope this helps. |

It does indeed. Thank you.Though the quarterly planning time was exactly the blog I was referring to with my title. I read it and his post "more on planning" and was still left with a little confusion on the write up of the 90 day plan. I much appreciate the comments.

Yeah I was looking for a sample because that is how I learn best to analyze something that is there and look at how I can improve it for whatever reason, in this case personalizing it to fit my needs. But oh well winging it isn't half bad. Cheers, Timothy |

Y'know, I'm in my twenties. And thinking back, trying to picture where I wanted to be in three years, much less one, was nigh impossible. Trying to sketch the big picture is not necessarily a requirement in planning. At least not as a starting point. Why not try beginning at the opposite end, with the day to day stuff? What does my daily life look like? What about my daily life would I like to stay the same? What would I like to see change? If I keep doing the same thing I do each day NOW for the next five years, what will my life look like? Does that scare me or make me happy? You can do all the long shot, far fetched planning you want to do, but the daily actions are what make it happen. Habits form your destiny. Change your habits, change how your story is written. So, for myself, it is as simple as reinforcing the habits that will get me to where I want to be in three, or even thirty years. |
