I'm currently moving from employed to self employed. I discovered a way to combine something I love to do, and get monetary and social compensation for it. I also set myself a very large goal that fills me with enthusiasm and burning desire.

None of the above.

I am the administrative assistant for a small local non-profit. Both of my bosses have great ideas for the organization, but it is my responsibility to organize the people, things, and paperwork in order to make things happen. I didn't know it at the time, but my entire life has been preparation for this job. My interests in personal development and organizational management have really come in handy for this career. So, I consider myself successful, but I'm not looking for the next big thing because I already am in the next big thing.

Im in a great place right now with my current status. I in a comfortable state because everything for me is good right now. Although, my situation seems easy, I feel that I should be doing something bigger. And this came out of nowhere. I think its my new level of awareness.

I'm unemployed, thought I've rejected some job offers because they were not good enough.
Besides that I'm trying to be a pro musician.
So you could say I'm double unemployed. Or double looking for job.

By the way... the more I've learnt has been during my unemployement periods... not while working... then I hardly learnt a thing. The good of being jobless is that you can learn a lot thinking and surfing.

I think it's not really about where you are now, but where you're headed. That's my two cents on this whole issue. Selling turkeys on eBay is harder than it looks...

I will be quitting my dead-end job in april to take a "spiritual journey". Nothing elaborate, just a month long road trip to find a new place and new people. I do not come from money, nor do I currently have many resources to help me in this endevor; I have been working seven days a week to finance this adventure. I am working on manifesting funds to make this a more comfortable journey, however, I am not relying on them to provode the way. Come what may (through my own conscious and unconscious choosing) I will be on the road soon with no looking back. I have no fear in quitting my job and have no anxiety about finding a new one (if that is what is called for). I am wholly open to the adventure of my "self" sustaining my being unto its destination and beyond. I believe that the best attitude to have is to have the courage to live without fear.

I love your idea and your attitude, 'to have the courage to live without fear'.

Might I ask what prompted you to go on this trip?

for a long time I knew that what i was doing wasn't my true purpose; like so many others, i fell into my job almost without question. the time came for a realization - i was given a direction in a dream, and since then the path has continuously been growing brighter and brighter. i have studied consciousness in many of its wonderful states and also studied the writings of the great masters of it for about 15 years now. i feel fortunate to take this "leap of faith" early in life (I am 28 yrs old), and am looking forward journeys like it in the future. but to answer your question, i'm doing it because i have to; i have no other way of saying it
