Default Taking a break

Like many I have been working hard to make 2008 a great year for me. Today I came into tireness and decided to cut some of my goals for the day and take a long nap and just rest. With all the not wasting time and keeping productive do you set time for a little r&r? I have decided I need to also make time for doing absolutely nothing. Does anyone else just reserve an hour or a whole day to just relax and not think of your goals or how to better yourself. I do have to admit I found it hard to relax. I even thought of trying to get back to the things I originally had planned. I think maybe too much motivation for self improvement can even be toxic at times in my case maybe.

Relaxing is crucial to my well-being. I have no shame to admit I love slacking around. One of my goals for 2008 was actually to allow myself taking more time doing nothing. I work a lot (way too much actually) and whenever I can't have time for myself for a few days, my energy level goes down and I almost kind of feel depressed. Give me two hours just sitting on the couch, day-dreaming, and I'll be all cheerful again.

Anyway, you shouldn't feel guilty about it. I think doing nothing helps you reconnect to your inner-self and set your ideas in order.

That's great that you were able to listen to your body and rest. I think tiredness must have been in the air as I was like that yesterday.

I have strong workaholic tendencies which I have to keep in check. Part of that for me was learning to underschedule and not push so hard in all I do.

Yes! Tom Hopkins, the Sales Guru, says Champions procrastinate as well! They however, use the 3P's.....Pre-Planned-Procrastination!!!!!!

The rest of us on the other hand just.......procrastinate when we shouldn't!
