| Whatever you do, you don’t need to justify it to people. That is low status behavior. If you asked a rock star what he did this morning, he might say: “I sat around and picked my nose while surfing pornography on the Internet”. He probably lied, but he DOESN’T care because he doesn’t need validation from other people. (this is an extreme example) You don’t need validation from your parents, friends, your boyfriend or girlfriend (by the way, if you’re over the age of 45 you shouldn’t be using the term “boyfriend” and “girlfriend”. It’s creepy.) Obviously this doesn’t mean you should be a social out cast or be some crazy dude, or some angst kid who rebel “against the system” It is simply the mind set of non-caring. People say “Oh jeez, Ken, your blog has so much grammar mistake, who are you suppose to tell people what to think!” And the truth is, I don’t care. I write everyday and I continue to write, because I like to. You shouldn’t care for validation if you pass the age of 16. Last edited by ken nubo : 01-01-2008 at 07:31 PM. |

| If you know yourself well, you do not need validation from others to feel good. I think the idea is non-attachment; that is you do not get affected by what others say about you.
