It’s kinda funny how we take things for granted. Like, having perfect vision. You probably take them for granted but I was (almost) legally blind without my glasses for 7-8 years, then I had laser eye surgery and the world is CLEAR. The other day I was reading the newspaper and this old man, who’s like 43, he crossed the road and got hit by a car. He died. I was like, “Damn, another one bite the dust. And he probably had perfect version”. Then the other day this 18 years old kid got cancer and died. I was like, “Damn. Another person died, he probably had perfect version too!”. Okay, sounds kinda insensitive to some, but KNOW that right now, you’re breathing …. that’s a miracle in itself. The other day I was sitting and I was like, “WOW. This is amazing. I exist in this planet”. Just a state of being. There is nothing to do, to have or buy. Then shortly afterwards I showed someone 2 girls 1 cup. Eww. Speaking of taking things for granted, today I was at the shop, lining up to the cashier and this old guy, probably 67 years old … buys a pack of gum. The total is like $1.97 and he was like, “I WANT A REFUND. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? I CAN BUY ANOTHER GUM AT THE OTHER STORE FOR 67 CENTS!” and I was like … “Oh dear.” Then I realize maybe he isn’t a cheap skate, perhaps his retirement fund is dwindling and he really needs to conserve. All too often we spend $2 on a pack of gum without thinking about it, right? Anyways, it’s almost the end of the year. Just take 5 minutes to reflect on everything. Know you’re blessed with awesomeness, like having a family, perfect vision, money, friends, whatever. Because it’s all too often we take things for granted. |

| I must be an idiot, what on earth do you mean by that? haha Every morning I've been trying to write down 50 - 100 things I'm grateful for. It really sets me up in a positive frame of mind for the day ahead! |

One of the things I want to not take for granted is that I'm free to choose to take things for granted. Being free to make choices that work in generating a life I love -- that is really something! What I mean is, I don't believe you absolutely have to do anything. Maybe that is just a manner of speaking that you used, but it's a manner of speaking that tends to have the opposite effect on me than what you probably intended, which was to generate freedom for the people you're talking to, right? To wake them up? And I thank you very much for that. Right now I'm awaking to the incredible beauty of a monster wind that's blowing outside my window. |
