Run over 6 pheasants with my car. 3 so far, 3 to go.

Hey, don't look at me like that! They're just going to be shot by posh people wearing tweed anyway!

Default My objectives until one year from now

1. Improve my knowledge and mastery of Tai Chi and the meditation techniques I am learning, then go to Thailand for an intensive course in order to become a certified instructor of the school where my teacher got his certificate at his turn.

2. Start my Personal Development Blog and begin by describing my experience trough the "Work and Travel" exchange program.

3. Learn how to ski very well - from scratch as well - objective for 2nd year - become a ski instructor at least for beginner learners.

4. Very soon - learn to speak Russian very well after having had my first private lesson last week, starting from scratch.

5. Immediately if not sooner - find students to give private English and French lessons to.

-Learn a conversational amount of the Korean language, be able to read and write
-Obtain Judo black belt
-Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt
-Fight in Spirit MC if I get laser eye surgery

OH I actually wrote some 2008 goals down as well somewhere:

Deadlift 500lbs
Squat 400lbs
Bench 300lbs
@ 200-205lb bodyweight

I've already hit all of those lifts, I just need to maintain them while rehabbing my shoulders and lowering my bodyweight.
1. On university exchange in Korea, living on my own and making my own money finally.
2. I'm well on my way to completing what I had in mind by August. Just started a thread on a 120 challenge for studying languages in this forum.
3. I've replaced Judo with wrestling, as it fits MMA better. However, I went to a Judo competition here in Korea and can dominate many black belts (that doesn't mean I have as good skills as them though, just strength and athleticism). I'm putting this goal on hold because it doesn't exactly suit my needs, although it is a good credential to have so I will resume it at some point.)
4. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt will be possible by August I think, but not a purple. I underestimated the time it takes to get a purple (most people a few years), and I'm mostly training wrestling and no-gi so that doesn't help me with the belt.
5. I got laser eye surgery and am going to a great MMA gym who plan to put me in a Spirit MC MMA match in 6 months or so. Well within my time limit. This is the reason I dropped judo in favour of wrestling and no gi bjj.

I also added another goal: Conversational fluency in Esperanto by August.

Default My Goals for 2009

I primarily wish to learn from all the many experiences I had this year. I've learned and studied so many different business models and am now embracing the law of attraction concept. So, the only thing left to do is relax and follow inspired action as it comes to me.

In the past, I've always worked so hard. This year seemed equally overwhelming with that feeling of just barely making it. But as I stepped back, I realized how lucky I really am! I live in Thailand and make money teaching the coolest kids on the planet! I have a beautiful and loving family and I'm understanding how much easier it is to just be happy and let it go. Now it feels like I'm floating down a river and people and situations are positively unfolding - almost Twight Zone like! And, you know what, it does feel good!

I guess my goal is just to watch how I react to situations, "good" or "bad" and try to focus my attention on things that make me feel good. Feeling bad never really helped anyway, except placing myself with other negative people. So I will make it a goal to feel good.

Thanks for asking and happy holidays to all of you!!!

Helena

Default 2008 what are your goals

Hi Guy665,

Many people posting on this forum have a goal of achieving greater financial stability. Lack of money becomes a major cause of stress in life and it is good to have a goal to achieving financial success.

But that does not come without hard work. So it is not enough to have a goal to make more money, but it should be broken down into steps and the work which can be done to get the success you strive for.

This site will help you a lot:

My goals for 2008 (Yes, 2008-Effectively, this means "December". It also means about eight 30-day challenges. Maybe I'll put up my 2009 goals later, but for now...here goes)

Note: If a goal starts with "Make a point," that means I'm gonna make a point of it. In other words, if all goes as planned, my friends will be joining me.
-Separate my eating into six meals
-Run for at least 20 minutes every other day
-Make a point of getting 8 hours of sleep every day
-Learn to remember my dreams
-Make a point of studying for tests for 10 minutes, even if I think I know the material.
-Read a book every week (4 books total)

There's a couple others, but they're scarcely relevant to most anyone on this forum.

Wow, this is an awesome thread, very inspirational! My goals for 2009 are (in no particular order):
To continue to attract amazing health, joy, relationships and opportunities into my life
To continue to embrace and improve my yoga, qigong and meditation practices, and to learn more about energy healing, by taking more Jikiden Reiki
To become fluent in Spanish
Stay in touch with nature, which always grounds me and keeps my vibration high
To volunteer more at Care Alternatives, and to look for other areas to put my talents and abilities to good work
Get my second business going, while keeping my current practice busy, and my clients satisfied and happy
Letting go of the past, moving on from a divorce and continuing to keep things friendly and amicable
