| Hi everyone, I haven't had time yet to read all the posts in this thread, so my first goal is to read all the posts in this thread! My name is Jim, I am 48, live in St. Louis, I made an intro post in the General section. I think this is a tremendous site and I plan to use it to log my progress on my goals on a daily basis. I will make a concerted effort to support others who wish to do the same. My first goal is to obtain my life/ health insurance license by June 3rd. I am currently working as a courier, making about 80 percent of my previous salary as a computer programmer. My plan is to study while I am making deliveries, I have printed out my study materials. Then when I get my license my plan is to do lead follow up and other marketing activities while I am driving. I will make sure that safety comes first. Good to be here and I look forward to achieving goals with you! |

| I am still a novice when it comes to posting websites but hopefully I will make progress. I am impressed with the level of difficulty of the material I am studying for my insurance exam, it is taking longer than I thought it would. But I am sticking with it, and I hope to have my license by the first week of June. I will be able to spend more time on this site now that Lost season finale was broadcast! Good luck! |
| |||
| But that will be a good experience for me. I did make progress toward my goal of getting my life/ health license by June 3rd but I will need to raise my effort level to meet this goal. I hope to respond to some posts this weekend. Take care Jim |

Exercise more frequently. 5. Limit coffee in the morning to only one cup. (It's really difficult for me to do this...lol) 6. Don't think so negatively. 7. Get a job. 8. Educate myself more. and I just added this one yesterday. 7. Improve my overall self. |

| My goals that I wrote for the start of the year was to finish my two adult access courses, do the exams, update my CV, find a job, exercise every day and indulge in more creative writing and other creative pursuits. So far the only thing that is left is to find a job, and that brings with it new goals Although my new goal for the year is to finally figure out what degree to study at university. |

| This must be the most inspiring thread I've seen this year, but I'm new to this forum so... Anyway, my goals for this year is to root out the insecurities and bad thought patterns, learn to think in a whole new way and find the excitement in life that I lost back in 1999. So far my depression is nearly gone and I've got almost the best possible internship there is. So 2008 has gone really well so far! |

| On desember 31 I have a residual income, big enough to suport me and my wife. I have resigned my dayjob.

| I want to get started on these straight after the summer semester ends, in about a week. And carry on throughout the rest of the year. 1. Get a phenomenal memory 2. Get in shape within a month and STAY in shape. 3. Complete Brett Manning's Singing course and have a 5 octave voice by the end of the year. 4. Get a minimum of A grades in all subjects for the upcoming fall session. 5. Learn to photoread. 6. Become more active and this is the biggest one of them all, as all the other goals depend on this. Most of these have been desires that had been put into action, but then let go off because of laziness, not having enough time. This time I'm determined to make it work, achieve something before I turn 22 next year. Hopefully it'll be the year of change, resulting in an exponential improvement curve. |

| I recently read a new book by Clifton Lambreth. The title was Ford and the American Dream - Founded on Right Decisions. This book takes doing the right thing at all cost to a new level. Everyone in American can learn from the new Ford book. Clifton Lambreth after 20 years with Ford decided to do the right thing by Writing a book about everything that went wrong at Ford while still working there and then sent first copy to CEO. Mr. Lambreth in Ford and the American Dream actually laid out a plan for recovery and I thin Ford seems to be listening. Hats off to Clifton Lambreth for having the courage to do the right thing! |

| My goals for the next 12 months are: 1. To re-start and complete my I.T courses that I started 2 years ago and put back on shelf at start of this year. (Edit, have already made a start on this) 2 To find 1 or two extra income streams (Ebay shop and blog?) to enable me to achieve next goal (Need to find out how to create a blog that is interesting enough to make money from) 3. To change careers from lorry driving (26 years and stuck in rut...My career, not my lorry :-} ) to a career in I.T (hobby since 1981 when I got my 1st computer) But will have to take at least a 50% pay cut to get entry level job in I.T which I need to make up by using something from option 2 above. 4. To keep a daily diary from today onwards chronicling my triumphs and failiures along the way to acheiving all the above. Too much to ask? How does L.O.A work and how can I use it to help me along the way to acheiving my goals? My research has already started, wish me luck!! |

| 2008 is almost getting to it's tail end, so I thought I'd share my 12 month goals: - 1. Start my own training company by April 2009. Realised that whatever my company is doing, I can do it too. 2. Attract my life long partner. 3. Get good at blogging. I know I can... |

| I had a massive, massive breakthrough when I passed an exam I'd been marking in my new year's resolutions for the last two years. Failed it 4 times in the last two years and passed it the fifth time, this year, a few weeks ago. it took 120% intensity and a couple of months of absolute labour, but i did it! now on to the second and last exam that comprises the cert these exams belong to! i purposely booked it on xmas eve so i manage it this year.
