| A bit of a general question for you, so if this is the wrong area apologies. Define the perfect human. List the characteristics they will have, their attitudes, beliefs and perceptions. I'm hoping to have an idea of what areas I should focus my attention on. So please pass on your insights. |

| Every human is already perfect because the moment right now is the only one there can be and that moment is just perfect the way it is, including everything in it. It has to be perfect, because there's no other way it can be, because if there was it would already be that. Anything that is not perfect is actually the gap between what is real, and a memory from the past or an imaginary situation. Both of them aren't real at all, so imperfection is just comparing something real, with something fake. The real imperfection is the act of imaginary comparison. If you want to experience being perfect, then all you have to do is stop comparing what is real and now with an idea that isn't, because you really are already perfect. Now, as for where you should focus your attention in personal development: Either work on leveraging your strengths to be even stronger, or your weaknesses to improve yourself more evenly. | Interesting question. In fact I fairly recently decided to write a short list of ideal characteristics that I would like to adopt and to improve on so as to become my 'ideal me' (an intended lifelong quest where I don't expect to ever reach a point of 'perfection'. If I'm 97 years old and am still improving myself that's cool with me ). One of the first things I read about when I first encountered Tony Robbins's writing was the concept of CANI (constant and never-ending improvement) which he admits he kinda swiped from the Japanese concept of continual improvement (Kaizen? can't remember now). Anyway, getting back to my 'short' list. As I started writing the list (mainly adjectives) it grew and grew until I had 180 !!! I quickly realized that I wouldn't really want to affirm all of them every morning while shaving or I'd end up shaving all my body hair and my head too. hee hee! But here are a few of the top ones (for me): Compassionate, Intelligent, Focused, Energised, Proactive, Fearless, Aware, Disciplined, Flexible and Adaptable, Open-Minded, Non-Judgmental, Determined, Alert, Enthusiastic, Positive, Assertive, Confident, Capable, Mentally tough, Well-presented, Principled and Ethical, Creative, Imaginative, Articulate, Kind, Organised, Congruent, Trustworthy, Attentive, Punctual, Empowered.... The list goes on but that's a few picked at random. Don't get me wrong..these are characteristics I'm aiming for..I'm not perfect yet (ask my ex-girlfriend I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else has a similar list. DLH |
