I feel so important! I'm making the thread this month! Goals for this month: 1) Pick up 20 small drafting jobs before December 20. 2) Get my first tattoo. Been avoiding this forever. Time to be bold and do something I've always wanted to do! Show them goals, baby! |

I'm setting more than one goal because I know if I set only one I won't accomplish it, and that way if I accomplish at least one I will have made progress. 1. No fast food. 2. Try to get my sleep schedule back on track. 3. Double my savings while paying off any and all bills. 4. No soda. 5. Drink more water. 6. Cut down on alcohol consumption. 7. Start jogging regularly. 8. Write at least 10 things, whether short stories, poems, etc. |

All of these will be a little stretch for me but I know that I can do them if I stay focused. Thanks for prompting me! 1. Complete my second website and publish it. 2. Write 15 articles and submit them to article directories. 3. Drink 40 oz of water a day. 4. Spend 10 minutes in silence ever day. Last edited by shirleywins; 12-03-2007 at 07:58 AM. |

1. To reach 140lbs 2. To edit the book and submit it to the agent. 3. To jog once a week, any distance. 4. To move into the new apartment, with all the ancillary tasks. 5. To write one blog entry. 6. To write one article for the radio. 7. To meditate for at least five minutes every day. 8. To drink more water, and less soda. 9. To buy Christmas presents for folks that they actually want! |

1. Quit Lexapro and cut back on coffee after finals. I will be looking forward to a month of no chemical abuse. 2. Spend more time cooking for myself and less time eating cafeteria food. I won't be getting back on the meal plan next semester. 3. Spend more time alone with my thoughts. That sounds scary, but it will help me figure out why I'm so confused right now. 4. Prepare for an amazing spring semester. I've gotten over my grade addiction and think I can manage things better now. My coffee addiction was spawned from a compulsion to do things perfectly, but my first semester of college I hardly drank it at all, and I almost made straight As, with my perfect sleep patterns and nauseatingly healthy lifestyle. |

1. no fast food (except arby's, mm) 2. figure out a way to make money (other than through christmas) hehe 3. finish my first book (1.5 chapters to go!) 4. learn 5 new songs on the guitar (4 to go) 5. good grades for this semester 6. organize agent contacts and send out queries to try and get published (no big deal if i can't!) 7. write a second book To original poster! Don't get a big tattoo for your first, and make sure you get it somewhere as meaty as possible- over bones hurts! I have a barcode on my leg to remind me to never allow myself to become dehumanized. |

Is it too late?? I moved 6 days ago and things are so HECTIC. My main challenges for this month are to: - wake up when the alarm sounds - get finances in order - no soda or fast food - get new apartment in order - prepare myself for new year a bonus goal: GET BACK TO THE GYM!!! Well, I've been researching goal setting and am still working on putting the pieces of information together. Nevertheless, there is no time like the present and I feel prepared and confident enough to set some attainable, fairly low bar goals for the end of this beloved year. My goals for the month of December, the final month of the year two thousand and seven, are: 1) Read at least two hours each day 2) Meditate five or more minutes each day 3) Go to sleep when tired, while awaking at a set time each day. Thinking sometime around 5:00 am 4) Incorporate more water into my diet each day 5) Switch energy drinks for teas, most likely of the 'green' variety. Possibly neither energy drinks nor teas This month's mantra "end of the year mantra" is: Continue researching and, by extension, practicing responsible and constructive goal setting while continuing a slow, methodical implementation of personal development into my everday life.
