For example if you seen me in my life you would instantly label me an introvert ( I can relate to the discription of INTP), and so would I, but when I took the test I put that I genuinely enjoyed socialising regardless of the group size. Plus I didn't feel a need to be alone which is true. So one of my results was expressive extrovert. I personally think that the reason for this is because my low self esteem and confidence is masking my true personality. Does anyone think there could be any truth in this?
Plenty.

Personality tests are useful tools to get an idea of how your brain is wired, but they only label the underlying "tapestry" of your brain. In general, you should look to your behaviour to learn about yourself.

For a better test, I recommend StrengthsFinder or StrengthsFinder 2.0.

The issue with most personality test is that they are built on the foundation that there are "opposite" personality types. I.e. You're either an introvert or an extrovert. You're either analytical or creative.

Human talents don't work like that. There are many situations where you can have contradictory talents. It's how those talents manifest that is important.

Can personality change?

I also have several other posts in my post history about talents and strengths. Do a search for them on my profile and you'll find them.

One day, maybe I'll be able to link you to a nice resource or product that covers all of this comprehensively with quality equal or greater(!) to Steve's book (technically you can't have a book of better quality than Steve's; it's not about better or worse, but about personal alignment).

I got INFP also. I already considered myself a healer, so I guess it fits!

I just wonder what is the point of having people categorizers?

Me too. Like you, I also tend to wander back and forth across the border of E/I.

Good to know I have such an inspiring role model available.

Sometimes categories are just ways of organizing information, of noticing patterns. I don't think it's necessary to be bound by those categories, though.

It's about learning more about yourself and other people.

We have to entertain our minds somehow

It doesn't mean everything that what these categories say about us are true. I don't believe you can "categorize" people, or categorize anything for that matter! It is just something interesting to look at, learn from and take in to consideration. Like seeker said, it can help you learn about yourself.
