| i took one of those tests a couple years ago, and it said that i'm an INFJ. at the time, i remember reading the description and thinking that it was extremely accurate... but i'll retake it later and let you know if anything's changed. |
| |||
| Similar here. My usual result is INTJ, but the scores for everything except E/I are fairly close to 50. |
| |||
| Took the test twice. Got ISTJ both time, and by far (scores were like I=27, E=3, and for all categories!) ISTJ is for people who examine problems, find solutions, and get things done. I'm in engineering. Gee, I wonder why??? Quote:

| Where's a male ENFJ?? I have to marry him. That's my natural partner! Seeker5, don't give this test too much importance either. Half of what they say about INFPs doesn't apply to me, although my score is high. If you want to know more about forum members, don't listen too much to these theories, it could make you biased in your interaction with us |

Not for mine. Upon reading the descriptions, the IFSJ didn't fit me in some major ways and I had a relatively low J (33%). While on the INFP test the lowest I got was 63% (P) (and highest 95% I). However, in the description of INFP, there was nothing I felt was inaccurate about me (ok, I haven't read the entire description yet, but...). I had a problem with several of the questions on both tests and the 2nd test (where I got INFP) made it much easier to answer the problem questions. It would ask "Do I prefer..." "Do I like..." for example, organization, working according to a routine schedule (it was always related to organization and structure) and every time I would say to myself "YES, I work better with a schedule" or "YES, I prefer ... [structure] but what I prefer and what I do are two different things!" And I thought "Just try to get me to actually do it though..." (I try a lot, to organize and be structured and get a daily routine, but time and time again I don't stick to them) On the test where I got IFSJ, I answered what I prefer and not what I do, accordingly, it told me I like societal conventions and rules and other things that don't apply to me. On the test where I got INFP, I answered according to what I do instead of what I prefer - and the description of INFP suited me a lot more - maybe I only think I prefer structure, order and routine Am I the only one who had qualms about what to answer for the questions? |

According to the site only 1,5% of the male population is considered to be ENFJ. |

| Just to add to this the tests clearly state that they are only guidelines and not hard and fast rules. As a species we are forever trying to understand things, hence these tests we enjoy taking so much, even when they are completely wrong we still take more. the same goes for astrology and any other devining tools. We like to dig and explore and often find ourselves the most undiscovered and misunderstood people that we know. Some of the questions are a bit vague and on different occasions could be answered differently and could very well be answered differntly a year from now. Is anyone going to change their lives based on any of these tests? Well I suppose thay might but would that be any different than taking advice from people, reading a self help book or taking up meditation? Regardless of how we develop we will continue to change,the choice of how we change is still ours. If someone took this test and said but I don't want to be I or E or even J, and changes themselves that is only their own personality coming through and eventually they would have changed anyway. |

| Where did you see that an ENFJ is your natural partner? Or is that just your preference? |
| |||
| Noo, I don't even know how ENFJs are! I read that on one of those INFP-profile-sites, don't remember which one. It was just a joke of course. I wouldn't listen to a personality test to choose a man... And I couldn't imagine living with an extrovert either. |

So that either means I'm stable... or in a rut. Can't decide which.

| Interesting. I'm ENFP- The "Advocate". But although I'm a sociable person I've never considered myself an extrovert. Tend to swing both ways actually. I think I'll take the test again in a few days and see if there's a difference. L |
| |||
| Lisa, I'm the same, and I also swing both ways, as I mentioned in an earlier post. I wonder if that's part and parcel of being an ENFP? |

Portrait of an ENFP When people ask me if I like going out and being around people or stick to doing my own thing I always tell them both. It makes me quite happy to have another way in which I can say I "swing both ways". It really does make us the most exciting bunch |

| "The Inspirer" -- I like that, openeyes! This description resonates much more for me than the other site with "The Advocate." Thanks for that. It also explains why I've never considered myself either an extravert or an introvert -- cuz I'm both, and I resist labels! |
| |||
| My first one was INFP, and my second was ENFP. It really depends on my mood at that moment. So technically, I'm both a Healer and an Advocate, both of which are true and integral parts of my character. I guess the best way to explain it is that I'm NFP. :P ~ David
