Here's a story for you. I was called into the school where they sat me down and said because my daughter was doing so poorly they were going to have to put her in a special needs class. I asked where she was dropping off. Everywhere.
I went home and sat my daughter down and asked her how she was doing in school. I hate it, I can't get any of it. They tell us to read this stuff and I can't read any of it.
I'm no expert, but I went back to school and told them she was having difficulty reading. They know that! I said teach her how to read and the rest will fall into place. So between the bunch of us, the school helped, she learned to read.
As the years rolled by she had to make twice the effort of any other student. She studied harder, listened harder, and made sure she never missed a day, even on days she should have stayed in bed.
She's an honour student now and she will be going to university.
I know that's highschool, not college. I've watched kids struggle for everything they've ever accomplished, and I've watched brilliant kids blow it all 'cause I don't feel like it.
You know your potential, strive to reach it.

If you focus on that, it will be impossible. Try find the real reason you want to learn, and the rest should fall in place.

Tayrak,
Your story is inspirational. I ll work extra miles harder than efore.

Boreas,
Envy- is tis a drive to success or could it lead to failure??

Love,
I do anything to get aN HONOURS. Any Good tips? Is it too late? How do i condition myself to believe I m a good student especially I ve been a poor student for 3years?

I found a good thread;
Successful students: What makes you successful?

I ll be sitting my 1st Final semester exam in January, in 2months. I ll keep ya updated with my progress. I aim to do well, and bring you all good news; Its a huge challenge for me especially I ve been just been passing coz i was not motivated enoughl, didnt care enough, didnt work hard enough, too distracted focusing on personal problems and negative memories. Just recently early this year, i foudn StevPav Personal development web, I ve been progressing emotionally, I m alot more positive now than before I WAS A MESS.
Now that i ve alot positive lifestyle, but my greatest problem now is ACADEMIC coz i didnt not developed a good basic knowledge for the last 3 years. As a result, Final year is a BIG CHALLENGE for me..
Nevertheless, I ll give it a GO, I m installing d BELIEVE I can.
Its not easy to change a BELIEF I m too late to go back to basics. This all is a CHALLENGE,.
I thanx u all for d replies.
