Default November Challenge - Feedback

YEESSSSSS!!!! yes yes yes yes yes!!!

my first day without sugar

I tried to stop eating sugar in july and failed. I tried to stop eating sugar in october and failed. I tried to stop eating sugar ten times in the past and always failed. Since nov.1st I've been trying to stop eating sugar once again and failed every day.... I'm struggling with massive sugar cravings and headaches. BUT now it's past midnight here, so, yesterday was my first completely sugar-free day!

I'm so happy, I could jump from the roof right now!

btw, raw food is great, I have much more energy since I eat raw.

How's your challenge going?

I've managed to exeed my daily goal of 1667 words every day. My total now is 16,071, alomst three days ahead of my expected total by this time. I can't describe how good it felt to break 10k and i can only imagine how great it will feel when i break the 50k target.

Sounds like you guys are doing awesome.

1) Make more money this month than I made at my old job in a month.

I'll actually break that by this weekend. Well... Okay. Weird.

2) I will not drive to the grocery store.

I have just avoided getting groceries because I'm lazy. Oddly enough, I can live without a pint of ice cream if I have to walk a mile for it.

3) Clear up the last touches of zits.

My skin's coming along. Something weird started happening with my new skin routine: A bunch of blackheads and whiteheads came up and spontaneously drained yesterday. Freaky.

Vrrrrrooooom!

That is the sound me walking from one end of campus to the other, as my energy level has spiked unbelievably.

I cleaned my apartment, got on top of schoolwork, made new friends, and am maintaining a personal life at the same time because it only takes me half as long to get moving as it did before.

I've started going to the gym regularly and am thinking I might be quitting coffee soon. Not only do I not need it anymore, I think it might actually be decreasing my energy.

I'm also a lot more sociable now, kind of obnoxiously. I talk a lot more and tend to blurt things out that aren't necessarily appropriate. I tend to strike up conversations with cashiers and other random people. I even asked someone out, knowing the answer would probably be 'no'. I've never done that before.

I've also realized just how lazy I am. It is harder for me to be productive because of low attention span, energy spurts at inappropriate moments, and other things, but really, I'm just not very disciplined. Realizing that has made me a little more productive, as I'm getting less comfortable with procrastinating and wasting time. For the rest, however, I have to give credit to Lexapro.

1) Make more money this month than I made at my old job in a month.

Friday I will have made double what I made in a month at my old job. I'm just... Overwhelmed. I have more time to do what I love and I'm making much more money. It's amazing. This is the SLOW SEASON for my job. People are complimenting my work more. (Angela, you were right. People are treating me different in the course of a day and it's coming through in my work.)

2) I will not drive to the grocery store.

I am seriously jonesing for some ice cream, but that would mean driving. Is that awful to reach a goal because you're too lazy?

3) Clear up the last touches of zits.

My bacne? Gone. Chest is clear. Just a few left on my face. My fiance said how smooth my skin was last night. I was thrilled. He was thrilled at my expression of being thrilled.

It looks like we've all done amazingly well with our goals this month! Keep up the spectacular work guys!

My goal is: Finish nanowrimo and write 50,000 words by Novemeber 30th.

My current word count now is 32,845. It's been tough going this week realizing how much work this goal entails and how much i still had to go at 16k Hitting a wall in my plot and not knowing where to go from there. Feeling like it's been hard work more than fun. Seeing that some people are thinking about giving up on nanowrimo. Feeling like giving up myself.

On the plus side, the support I've had has been great! I'm past the hardest part and things have got easier. I've got a clear idea of what i want my final climatic scene to be and i want to get to that point of the story to actually write it. It's my candy bar scene. Lol!

Other things. I've joined a writing group and through this challenge I've made a new friend. ^_^

Well, I am definitely getting more disciplined. It's really just a willpower thing, there wasn't a secret to it. In fact, looking for a secret was really just me evading the issue.

^ I'm proud of you, honey. I'm visiting TN next October, and you bet your butt I'm coming to UTC to give you a hug.

1) Make more money this month than I made at my old job in a month.

I've more than doubled what I used to make. I'm happy.

2) I will not drive to the grocery store.

Managed it!

3) Clear up the last touches of zits.

At this point, I'm dealing with nothing other than a few whiteheads. The scars will fade over. So really, at this point, I'm working with helping the scarring heal over.

So far I've decided:

I'm going to keep up the new discipline and passion I've found as a self-employed person. It's spilling over into a lot of facets in my life: Working at relationships, going to the gym, eating healthier.

Not driving is a huge pain in the ass when it comes to groceries.

I love having good skin. It really has improved my sex life, my social life, and my emotional state so much.

That would be cool. I've never met anyone from here, although there is a blogger from Chattanooga on here occasionally.

Well, this week has been abso-freakin-lutely amazing. My reading speed and comprehension are way up, I'm still learning even more about myself, and core problems are being dealt with.

Oh, and I have a boyfriend now. I'm sure it's very weird to see two guys holding hands while walking through downtown Chattanooga (and all over campus, including one of his classes). After I told my mom, my empathy backfired on me and I started seeing the whole situation through her perspective, but that's getting a little better.

That wasn't really part of my November Challenge, but it's been an enlightening experience.

I've decided on a new financial goal for next month. Stay tuned!

2) I will not drive to the grocery store.

Done.

3) Clear up the last touches of zits.

Still have scars and whiteheads. Back and chest acne? GONE. I am just thrilled. Will continue to hammer away at it.

It's great to hear everyone doing well with their goals. My goal for this month was to reach 50 subscribers with my blog. My blog is about life lessons I've learned from books, movies and Tv. Sorta self help with a twist. On Mondays I have a humorous "Top 10 things I've learned from ...". I thought it'd be nice to start the week on a humorous note. On Fridays, I have an inspirational 'Clip of the Week'. I thought it'd be nice to end the work week on an upnote. And between Monday and Friday, I have a more serious self-improvement article. But lately I've been very concerned with the quality of my posts so I've been holding off on some days until I'm more happy with my post.

I've been promoting everywhere. The last time I checked I was at 37 readers. I still have a few days left! So if anyone is at all interested in helping me to my goal come on over and sign up!!!

Marvin

Well done everyone. Marvinq, perhaps you should have chosen a goal that you have direct influence over rather than depending on others to achieve your goal? For example when i try to get my novel published, I'll probably make a goal like send my novel to six different agents rather than make the goal get my book published.

My goal was to write 50,000 words. I've written 50,147 words. DavidRM's The Journal counts my word count as 50,002 words, which is still slightly over my target. Yay!

Default Novembar

1. PLAY guitar for 4 hours. (2 hours for site, other for my band and improvisation)

Failed! Did about 75 %

2. Work for 2 hours for my sites. Every day.

Failed! Did about 75 %
3. Open Visa Virtuon card and by premium rapidshare account.

Done!

4. Workout 2 x 25 minutes weekly

Done!

5. Get up at 10 every day. Sleep not more then 8 hours and 45 minutes every day.

Failed! Till 20th it was fine, then...

6. Actively search for a bass player and a drummer for my band

Done! I found bass player.

7. Get up at 7:00 four times this month. Just to see how it feels.

Done! And it feels great.

8. Start saving for hosting, save 25 euros

Done!

9. None of this rules are applied on Sunday.

Done!

10. Finish Lynda-s DreamWeaver course

done! Great course. I learned very useful stuff.

Basically the problems begun when we had to prepare for St. Arandjel celebration. That, and the celebration lasted for couple of days, and I couldn't do guitar playing and web design. After that, I tried to make it up with extra work, and I got depresive, that lasted for a week.
The thing is that I successfully applied "sleep" goals for three months and now, I am back to old schedule. From tomorrow I begin starting all over...
