 |  How Much Would You Have Paid for Today?
Aren't actuaries a strange bunch? That's not meant as a personal attack on anyone who is an actuary - hey, some of my best friends are actuaries - but I just find it odd to spend your time placing monetary value on a person's digits, limbs and on their very life. I just wrote a blog article on a news story about the cost of keeping elderly lung cancer patients alive. This news story got me thinking: How much would I have paid for today? What about you?
