Default Attitude is a choice...

This was a post that appeared on my forum many months ago. I have re-read it now and thought I would like to share it with you. Written by a guy name Dan Abraham

One of my most favorite quotes of all time is from 19th century philosopher William James: 'The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.'

So even over 100 years ago they knew about personal development. They knew that if you really wanted to you could make something of yourself.

That's powerful! And it fills me with hope everytime I read it
because it says to me that if I can control my attitude I can
control my life.

Another great man of this era, Abraham Lincoln said:
'Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing.'

Our attitude drives our behaviour and subsequent performance....performance at work, performance in sport, performance in relationships, performance in life.

What attitude do you bring to the rich tapestry that be life:

An 'I can do' attitude?
An 'I will succeed' attitude?
An 'I like and I love' attitude?
A winning attitude?
A positive and optimistic attitude?
An attitude of appreciation?
An attitude of fun?
An attitude of respect?

Having the above attitude means having a ****ing wicked life....it means more fun, hotter girls (or hotter boys if you're a girl), more money, more friends, and more success. It means happiness.

Attitude is a choice....choose wisely......

Hi Phil!
You are absolutely correct and I am totally agree with you...our attitude drives our behaviour and subsequent performance...but as you wrote in conclusion more money, more friends..it means happiness. Do you think more money, more friends really means happiness...

I'll give me 2 cents here. I think that yes, dependinding on the person. If the person knows how to manage his life, then more money will definitely mean more happiness. More money means more freedom, so the person is able to make more choices. I think that a great deal of unhapiness comes when people feel that they have no freedom to do what they feel like doing, in any area of their lives.

I believe that money/friends are more a 'side-effect' of being a genuinely good person, being that person also means that your generally happier. I believe that happiness and results come from the inside out, affected by your habits, beliefs, attitude and offcourse actions.

Not;
Money, friends, hot girls(boys) ---> happiness

But;
Becoming a better person ----> Money, Friends, Hot girls (boys) and happiness
