Default Could I get a job here ?

There is a grocery store by my house. It is the closest place to work at other than UPS but I’m 17 and can’t do UPS. The grocery store policy is that you must be 18 years old to work there. The grocery stores name is ALDI.

It’s a very small store not like Wal-Mart food center or Albertsons. Way smaller. Do you think by filling out an application I could get a job there since it is such a small store?

The best way to know is to just try, instead of asking us

In the pick up community, there's a saying that goes something like "The only person who never gets rejected is the one who never tries". Just try it; if they don't want you, they'll politely say it; if they accept you, you'll get a job. It's a lot to win and nothing to lose.

Supermarkets generally don't care about age, in my country anyway. I was 14 when I started working at one, their policy was 16. And do be afraid of failure.

Nup Dennis. You ain't going to get it. Unless you want to practice your skills at handling rejection don't try.

Just trying to get the right balance of positive and negative opinions (thanks jaydeschizo for the failure comment), to leave you equally confused so you can make up your own mind.

A post like this can be a bit like deciding what to do based on a coin toss - or your reaction to it - as I explain here:
