Default breaking addictions/ habits

A while back i remember listening to a recording of speech that steve pavlina gave on breaking addictions. I remember it was filled with great ideas and i wat to listen to it again. i searched for it and i cant find it. I remember it was a bout using overwhelming force to break the addiction. He would break the addiction at three different areas to completely stop it. i also remember there was an example of a woman who would always spend all of her money on clothes. Does anyone remember this? Where could i find it?
