| I would suggest that you meditate in the now. What I mean by that is that you should turn your focus to the moment. During meditation most people will find that their mind wonders after any significant time during meditation. If you don't believe me then attempt to clear your mind right now of all thoughts and tell me how long you can do it. As you probably have observed the mind can't clear it's own thoughts(unless you're one of the great sages or avatars). The solution during meditation is to focus not on the past or the future but the present. The present is a gift and we can never get the last 2 seconds that passed (while you were reading this) ever again. Try keeping you mind clear while taking in all the details of the current moment. To some this might sound like a contradiction but experientially it can be done. To be candid, attempt to have a sensory overload of as much stimuli you can take in at once in the current moment while keeping your mind free of thoughts. You will find that it is much easier to focus during meditation by taking in the gift of the infinite NOW. |

| Aaah...15 days in a row of meditation. Another 15 before it becomes a habit. At least, it should be anyway. For once, it's starting to become enjoyable, and I never thought this would happen, but I'm actually enjoying meditating just for its own sake. Now, whenever I meditate, I'll feel these spasmic feelings of euphoria, starting from my left side then slowly spreading to everywhere. I used to get these feelings whenever I hear a really good song, and also when I did progressive relaxation. I start my meditation by relaxing my whole body, so that's probably one reason why.

| The best time to meditate is at about 5 am, just before dawn. This is the last three quarters of darkness where everything is still. At this time your mind is fresh because it has rested from yesterday's 65,000 thoughts. Freshen up and lie down at your favorite corner, with your head towards the north. Do not cross your hands or legs. Close your eyes and meditate. Talk to your subconscious and ask for your wants. Your subconcious is your guardian angel and it has your best interests at heart. Once you have made this a ritual, you can work magic. Law of Attraction Last edited by kulai : 10-27-2007 at 11:10 AM. |

| The gratitude meditation is a great idea. Here's an article on "Meditation 101: How to Start" with some suggestions that I've personally practiced and have found really useful. Here's another related article "Find Clarity and Inner Stillness through Meditation" I would recommend sitting silently for 5-10 minutes for starters and focus on your breath. I also recommend Stan Richardson's japanese flute cd. It's linked off the first article. Hope that helps. Feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

| Aah...today is officially the end of my 30 day meditation trial. I can say that life with meditation is much, much better for me compared to without, just because I'm more aware of what I'm thinking, and being able to distance myself from my thoughts and observing it, instead of being my thoughts. Now on to the reason I did this in the first place, to prepare myself for my 30 day Subjective Reality trial.

| Hi Everyone, I am in the process of writing a post on meditation and am looking for people who have benefitted from the practice. If you are willing to share a story on what changes you've seen in your life, I would love to include it in my post. Recently, I met an individual who used meditation to overcome a drug addiction. Another claims that it has increased her patience with her children and has significantly improved her relationship with her family. Would anyone be willing to share a specific story on how meditation has changed their life? Thanks! Ayesha Lessons Of Life |

| Meditations helps a lot. Don't treat it as experiment. It is a way of life that you will choose to maintain and manage your life more comfortably and freely. You can do it anywhere, but for beginner, try to get some help or suggestions. I have been doing Meditation for almost 2 years now. The result may vary but it does control your fear and anger. Carmen
