Default Complete change in my life

Hi there, I have just started a new course at university and have decided that now is as good a time as any to change my life for the better, get more work done, be more more efficient, eat better and get fitter. I have read all of Steve's articles but wanted some practical advice from people on how to implement changes. Of course everyone is different but there must be some common elements that are present in successful peoples lives. If you had the opportunity to "design" a plan for some one to help them achieve more what elements would be in it, or if you have made significant changes in your life for the better how have you gone about it, what are the pitfalls and how can they be overcome. What I want to achieve: I go to school 2 days a week for 6 hours and on each of those days I have 2 classes that need 6 hours prep for each. I am a member of a gym and would like to go 3 times a week at least. Little tips on how to get work done such as using blocks of time, or keeping a diary or blog to monitor progress, getting up earlier, computer organisation (files, planning software etc) etc and whether these work would be appreciated. I know this all sounds like a lot but I think a few small changes at a time will help me achieve my goals. Thank you very much. Please feel free to ask any questions if you would like me to clarify my thoughts

Step 1) Walk backwards everywhere you go for a week. You'll meet a lot of people, and make a few friends.

Don't try to change too many things all
at once.

And also remember you'll probably fail:
for example, if you haven't worked out regularly,
and this is the first time you're planning to do so,
there is a good chance that you might fail.
Don't expect failure. But if you fail -- miss
for weeks at a time and go on a bad-food
eating diet -- don't get discouraged. It happens
to most people. Just pick yourself up and try
the routine again.

Most importantly, have fun when doing it.
If you're pushing yourself too hard, just slow
down, enjoy the moment.

And consistency is very important. Sometimes
I try to do things very rigorously. Especially when
I initially start doing something. But then I burn out
after a while. So take it easy in the beginning.

Good luck!
