Default Meals.

I enjoy good food. Of late, however, food seems to be just something I have to prepare and eat ALONE. I eat at any time. I used to be so organised when rest of family were here. I know all about good food/healthy eating but cannot seem to get motivated to prepare/cook/wash up. I am on line now when I should be cooking. I am vegetarian and somehow it seems to be cheese, quorn, and so on. I need motivation to eat well. I have no routine now. I do not go to work through illness so it is not as if I come home and just start cooking without thinking. That is the problem. I think about it but either do something quick or eat too late.

Any help appreciated.

Default

When I was living alone (going to college), I used to half-cook batches of healthy stuff, then freeze it.

This way, I was eating good food I made myself; I didn't have to eat the same thing every night for 3 days to get through left-overs (let's face it, it's hard to cook for one... why bother?).

I'd also purposefully invite people over just so I cook for them, usually my neighbors. We'd get a chance to sit down to a home-cooked meal, talk, and I didn't feel like I was wasting time cooking for just me.

I, too, will wear purple.

Question

Excellent idea, but how do I motivate myself to do the batch cooking. I have no friends living nearby to invite over and transport is not readily available. All my friends anyway have their families living with them or around about.

Yes, it is a good idea to wear purple, especially if fun has been lacking in earlier years.
