I respect your commitment.

1) What do you want to achieve out of massively doing so many things all at once?

2) If there's one piece of advice I'd give you, I'd say give up the milk!

Default Mind Map downloads...?

...shivraj....

I really liked the mindmaps that you posted throughout this thread.

You mentioned using FreeMind software but I currently use Mind Manager from Mindjet, Inc.

Any chance that any of the mind-maps you posted can be found in MindManager format?

Thanks and Congrats on successfully completing your 30-day experiment...!!!

Congratulations Shivraj! Proud of you. All I ask is, how do you resolve the basic incongruity of Hindu philosophy with personal development ( maa phaleshu kadachana) while pursuing your goals?

Nishkâma Karma, or work without desire or attachment. People nowadays understand what is meant by this in various ways. Some say what is implied by being unattached is to become purposeless. If that were its real meaning, then heartless brutes and the walls would be the best exponents of the performance of Nishkama karma..
The true Nishkama Karmi (performer of work without desire) is neither to be like a brute, nor to be inert, nor heartless. He is not Tâmasika but of pure Sattva. His heart is so full of love and sympathy that he can embrace the whole world with his love. The world at large cannot generally comprehend his all-embracing love and sympathy...

In Ramana maharshi's words basic idea behind "karmenevadhikarste ma phaleshu kadachana " is as follows:
"Work dedicated to God, and done without attachment to results, purifies the mind and enables proper meditation." - Ramana Maharshi

What krishna wanted to tell is, detachment.. Desires are not bad but habit of desires is bad. mind becomes restless because of this habit.

Attachment and detachment are concepts that in Hindu traditions relate to one's level of involvement in this world and to the power this world holds over one's state of mind. Attachment signifies over-involvement in this world, having desires for things that one does not have and clinging to things one has. Detachment is a positive state of objectivity toward this world, where relationships, objects, and circumstances hold no power over one's state of mind.

Hindu philosophy doens't neclect the world nor do it is escapist.

Generally in the west people have materialistic view of successful life. Hindu philosophy go beyond this materialistic attitude.

Laws of karma are abide to you as long as you are cling to this world.

personal development is a very big area, It is should have name "self development or expression" rather than "personal" development.

here are some points in hindu philosophy which elaborates self development process:

Sharir (Body) development:
Sanskrit: शरीरं आद्यं खलु धर्म साधनम् ।
Body comes first for the practice of dharma.
Good, strong, healthy body is MUST.

Mind: (मनोजय) योगा for that,

"Yoga is a science which teaches how to awake our latent powers and hasten the process of human evolution." "It is restraining the mind-stuff from taking different forms."

Yoga sutra consists of two words only: yogash chitta-critti-nirodah, which may be translated: “Yoga is the cessation of agitation of the consciousness.”

Spiritual: a state of self-realisation or attainment or cosmic consciousness.
as a state of transcendence and not as a concept that can be grasped by the intellect alone.
It is an experience.

Money: What vedas say about money?

Wealth has to be won by deeds of glory. (Rig Veda Samhita vi-19-10)
One shall be led by the fair path to riches. (Vajasaneya Samhita v-36)
One should tread the sinless path and gather wealth. (Vajasaneya Samhita iv-9)
A man shall strive to win wealth by the righteous path. (Rig Veda Samhita x-31-2)
One who helps others wins wealth. (Rig Veda Samhita iv-50-9)

WowowowoWOW!!! You are CRAZY in an awesome way!!!! I salute you for TOSSING out the normal idea of LIMITS! I was NOT prepared for this thread when I clicked on it. But you kinda just made my day.

Thank you for the attachment of all those mind maps. I can see what a great organizational tool they are and I think exploring this concept is going to help me a LOT! I've had trouble keeping organized with my goals because life is complex! That disorganization can be discouraging and has set me off course whenever I've lacked perspective. The best method I've been using so far was journaling, but even that is lacking because I have trouble staying on the big picture and I don't always have it in me to journal every day.

So thank you for the powerful inspiration! You just made my day! You deserve every ounce of your success. I'm very happy for you. It takes courage to know that you deserve to be the best you can be!

Shivraj, you amaze me. You do have a big (i'd say, an all-encompassing) picture of the entire journey/destination! I too had worked out an answer a little like yours (self-development in a cosmic context as against 'personal' development) and was curious about your views on the same. Thanks for the detailed answer. I shall be watching your progress with the closest attention All the very best.

Also, it hits me now, that the basic tamasic, rajasic, sattvik categorisation is the predecessor (i'd say, a far superior and more fundamental predecessor) of the new 'levels of consciousness' hierarchy.

The world seems more and more like a wheel than a road.
