Default Paraliminals, Photoreading AND A-Levels

OK. So I just noticed Steves whopping discount on Photoreading and I thought to myself, I NEED that. Then I saw the Paraliminals and my brain melted out of my nose.

I just passed my GCSE's and did quite well, my parents gave me £100, supposedly to spend on what I want unconditionally (yeah right) and so I worked out I can get all the paraliminal CD's I want from the list, and the classic Photoreading course on CD with a discount, for £95, get in!

But my parents arn't believers in Personal Development tools and (since i havn't told them of my monetary plans) would frown on me spending £95, in fact they will probably forbid it outright, and I understand their position...they think its a marketing scam. To them Steves recommendation is equivocal to me saying my friend said it was good...

I am going on to study A-level and the University course I want to study (a Joint Honours in Psychology and Philosophy at Leeds University) requires AAB at A-level as a minimum. I want AAA, and I know that I can't achieve that in my current personal state. I want these paraliminals and Photoreading techniques to help me achieve better grades than ever before. I WANT to succeed so badly that it hurts, it physically hurts inside myself, to think about failing.

What I sincerely ask for from anyone out there (especially students or people in a similar situation) is real life, honest stories of using Paraliminals, Photoreading or both...not only in achieveing grades...but just to prove to my parents that it WORKS!

I know you won't fail me fellow forumers...together we will show my parents thats its not simply a load of bo***cks and its something they should embrace as not only effective, but also scientific!

VIVA LA EDUCATION!

I'm sorry but at the moment photoreading isn't scientificly validated. Neither are paraliminals.

But in general if your parent had the choice between you spending the money on alcohol, videogames or some other unproductive hobby or Photoreading material, what is the problem with it.
You do it and have your fun regardles of whether it is scientificly validated. If you have no fun you will use the guarantee.

If money is so tight that it's making you stress about the purchase, I don't think you should buy it. I'm not in favor of telling people to spend their last dollars on PD products, regardless of the quality/benefits.

For details read this article, especially item #3:

AL... I have found that if you honestly believe that you can find value in something... you will get it...

There is no place for timid souls in the world of success and achievement...

However, I would think that you should get rid of the attitude that you want to prove your parents wrong... that is a negative attitude and it can only be counterproductive...

Get the bloody stuff... for your own satisfaction and nothing else... that shows balls and courage...

Thanks Brutha, Steve and Shamou.

Steve: My finances would not be totally crippled if I spent $200, in fact it wouldn't really effect me THAT MUCH but I totally understand what your saying.

Thats exactly right!

...and finally Shamou....

Your right of course...I do have a negative attitude towards my parents, and a few months ago I would have said it was justified, in fact I am still tempted to say its justified, of course its not but...thats another thread for another time.

I think that might be what my parents don't understand...they are so afraid of anything BIG. They don't believe in Personal Development or any of its by-products, I am pretty sure they will say Steve is a scammer (sorry Steve ) and its all a load of rubbish. Ohh well...

thanks for the replies guys...

and I am still waiting for a student to leave their little anecdote...don't be shy..role up...role up!

This is not just a recorded seminar. Rather,
Paul Scheele redeveloped PhotoReading to
present it in a way that is ideal for self-
study. In just a few afternoons, you will be
well on your way to mastering printed
information with speeds and comprehensions
that may astonish you. A PhotoReading Success
Coach will be assigned to you at no charge.

The PhotoReading Classic Edition includes:

May not be what you prefer since it's on tape rather than CD but would certainly allow you to get one of the programs you desire quite economically.

Why don't you just get the book? Despite what Learning Strategies says about how you won't get the full benefit from just reading the book, I did so and can photoread just fine.
