Hello All, I'm new to this forum and am so happy to have found it. I am trying to understand how one can be in the Now and still believe in the Law of Attrraction. From my understanding, the Law of Attraction requires you to visualize what to expect to have or what you want to have; which in my opinion, is thinking about the future. However, ideology of being in the Now says there is no future or that it is just a projection of the mind and actually real. Is there any correlation between the two? Is it at all possible to be present while trying to visualize a future event? |

Your power is now, visualize your desires in the now not having them in the future. I remember reading A New Earth even tolle mentions having a vision of your desired outcome. There isn't really a conflict. Part 1 of 2 - Abraham-Hicks: Now Is Where All Your Power Is! |

I don't think they're in conflict at all! But Tolle's approach is a little different from the Abraham/Hicks approach. I feel like they each emphasize different aspects of the same thing. If you're feeling frustrated and discontent with the now, and put the future on an unreachable pedestal, then by the law of attraction you're asking for more discontent with your now. The LoA works for you if you feel excited now with the delightful, tingly anticipation of what's to come. Steve also writes about how the best goals to set are the ones that improve your life now, in the moment you set them. I feel it's the same for intentions. |

Visualization is about feeling that you have what you want NOW. ... like when you're worrying about something. You feel (NOW) like something bad already happened even though you think it will happen in the future, you already feel like it has happened (repetition used for emphasizing my point). Law of attraction is not just about thoughts and visualization. It's about being happy. Law of attraction says that like attracts like so be happy and you'll attract more happy stuff into your life. You can be happy NOW. You can be happy about some things that you appreciate NOW. You don't have to think about that awesome that you want but don't have, because when you do, you are not in the now, and when you do, you are not using Law Of Attraction to your full advantage because like attracts like and if you are feeling "lack" about not having something, you are bring more "lack" into your life. | |

The contradicting part is that there is some element of law of attraction that values a future change. But if you understand the law of attraction, the focus is on creating a present moment internal experience that reflects the desired external experience. The confusion lies in the idea that I do this process then I'm done. Now I can go back to just relaxing and enjoying the world I've just manifested. This state of being done IS the state of manifesting. If you still feel like you are waiting for something to happen, then that is the vibe you are sending. As we learn to immediately experience our destination, the outer destination becomes easily available. But, if we really are fully experiencing it, the outer destination becomes irrelevant. To measure how well we are using the law of attraction, just ask ourselves what would change within us if we REALLY had what we wanted. That will show you the block, now unblock it. When we are immediately fully there, without one speck of difference depending on an outside circumstance, then going there inside IS going there outside, that's the fundamental law of attraction. Outside reflects inside. Outside process reflects inside process. Outside difficulty of getting somewhere reflects inside difficulty of getting somewhere. The law of attraction is a road that can be used to bring people to the present moment. Initially it is used to get what I want, which is wonderful. But eventually the illusory difference between outside and inside is dispelled, leaving one fully present with whatever is here as if it were a personal choice. This "chosen" nature of reality is very important. The alternative is to see oneself as an element of a reality beyond oneself, which leaves one feeling immersed in a reality that is foreign to one's deepest nature.
