Question Other theories of life?

Hi,

I'd like to list and compare different theories of life to Steve's triangular model of truth, love and power. These theories can be new or old. Created by individuals or groups. Scientific or not.

I'm especially wondering if there are any theories that also suffice the criteria of universality, completeness, irreducibility, congruency, and practicality.

Is there anything that comes to your mind? If so, I'd appreciate your input!

Thanks a lot! These are exactly what I am looking for.

If anyone has further ideas, I'd appreciate to hear them.

Just from living life I feel that Maslow's Heirarchy of needs is a better starting point than truth, love, power. It's not really a theory of life as such but what it does highlight is the need to work on the basic level (survival) first.

PD takes time and energy, and there are many areas for us to improve in before we become better "all round" people. If energy is spent so heavily on meeting Maslows basic survival needs, I personally feel that it makes sense to deal with this aspect first before addressing problems higher up the triangle.

Again, this is only my own perspective but I feel there is a logical order in which to do things- or an order that will result in the fastest overall improvement. Now while the TLP modal doesn't prevent this approach, it does offer a more "one size fits all" angle/ framework from which to build from.

I figure that Maslow's heirachy represents the what in life, ie: twhat we want to satisfying and move on to achieving. T/L/P represents the how. We achieve what we set out to achieve by utilising T/L/P. We sabotage out efforts when we go against T/L/P.

Default Joseph Riggios ideas

Joseph Riggio has some cool ideas that basically go like this:

~Power: The ability to make decisions and link them to taking action.
~Creativity: If what action you took didn't get you the results you want, creativity is what you use when coming up with new actions to decide to do.
~Influence: This kind of influence is all about what Tom Sawyer did when he influenced the other kids into white washing the fence. He made it seem enjoyable. So Influence is doing whatever your doing in a way that makes other wants to join you and do it too because it seems enjoyable.

-----------------
Also the 8-circuit brain theories are very interesting too. Note that Leary, RAW(Robert Anton Wilson), and Antero Alli all have their own interpretations of the theory, and each of them are worth learning about. I especially like how they invite you to make and maintain your own definitions of Intelligence and other important ideas.
----------------
The ideas of Kaizen could also fall into being very universally applicable.
--------------
There are other simple ideas like:
~Do things differently and you get different results.
~The greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up when ever you do.

Cats and dogs have secretly plotted to allow us to do all the work so that they could ride on our coat-tails to a better standard of living, allowing them to lay around, play, and sit and lick themselves.

The rhetorical triangle fits in nicely too

Logos into truth, pathos into love and ethos into Power.

I figure we probably evolved dimensionally as we evolved through everything else. started at 1st dimension, now we're up to 3rd or 4th (my reason for maybe fourth is that life is a constantly repeating cycle of constantly repeating cycles. We'll isn't that what the fourth dimension is? I bet if we could look at life from the fifth dimension, you'd see the hidden meaning everyone is looking for but much clearly. probably as if it was written in a book)
