Default thank you Steve for your perseverance in finishing your book

I like to express my gratitude for Steve Pavlina's book. It really brightens my day. More importantly, it gives me a roadmap of what to expect and how to work the personal development process.

I've only finished the book up to the chapter on courage, and I'm pleasantly surprised that the book had a lot of content, in terms of having different ideas. and I'm glad how Steve is able to combine all those ideas together to have it all make sense and fit together.

a challenge that i had (with other PD books):
in contrast, sometimes if i go to the bookstore to check out PD books, sometimes it seems like the author only has one or two things to say, but stretches out the book into 200 pages, i don't want to say that's necessarily a bad thing, but everybody knows that in order to succeed at something or overcome some obstacle, you can't just master one or two skills, but there are many skills you have to overcome.

There was a point in my life where i had given up on PD material (books mostly) because they would talk about one or two ideas, but I was missing other crucial skills needed to successfully follow through. I would then conclude that the author's conclusions only applies to some circumstances or professions, and just doesn't work for me. I would get discourage, and try to play it safe ("being realistic"). Then I would feel frustrated about not feeling passionate about the "secure" path that I should feel passionate about.

With steve's book, i get the sense that i'm doing the right thing, not giving up (or having given up for a while but no longer giving up), following my own path and being given the tools to understand how following my own path works, so i will persevere and enjoy the path.
