Default PDSP coming out in various languages

Foreign rights for PDSP that have already been sold include German, French (Canada and France), Portuguese (Brazil), Polish, Russian, Dutch, Bulgarian, and Turkish. The Romanian version is already out.

I don't know when these will become available -- that is up to each individual publisher. Some versions may not be out till 2010.

I get a lot of requests from India and China, so hopefully the book will be licensed for those regions soon.

It's nice to see that Hay House is really getting the book out there.

Default The german version is up on amazon

The german version of PDFSP is up on the german amazon-site and can be pre-ordered. The title is a little different from the original:

"Das universelle Prinzip der Selbstentfaltung: Persönlichkeitsentwicklung für intelligente Menschen".

which would translate to:

The universal principle of self-fullfillment: Personal development for smart people.

The cover is also different from the original. It shows a blooming red flower. That fits the german word "Selbstentfaltung", which very directly translated would mean self-unfolding.

I'm so disappointed about this German one!

First, "Das universelle Prinzip" is just wrong since Steve talks about seven, or at least three principles, and not one.

Second, I find the original cover very ugly - but at least in some way it does match Steve's character and way of writing (direct, rational) and target audience (mainly the corporate world).

But THIS one has just nothing to do with Steve at all! A flower and pink background?! WTF!!

In Europe book covers tend to be less flashy and aggressive than in the US - but there was no need to go into such an extreme.

I hope the translation will be less crappy than the cover and title.

Ouch, cover looks like of a trivial love novel. But the publishing people probably know better than us how to sell a book.

It is obvious that the german publisher tries to target this book more to a kind of "esoteric" niche. It is a cover style that I recognize in books about meditation, eastern religion, and - yes - spiritual philosophy maybe.

I know that the german reader is even more disturbed when he/she stumbles across the word "spirituality" in a book, but is that reason enough to make this book look like that? Yuck!!!

I live in Argentina and can't wait to see your book in spanish. You really inspired me and i've made deep changes in my life thank to you. I think your work is so great that for the greatest god of all, your work ( book and blog ) should be of easy access to more and more people everyday, without any linguistic barrier.

I'm fine reading english and i'm a raw foodist thank to a lot of your articles and a 30 day trial, but when for example i wanna share your articles to my friends, i.e. Why Vegan? , most of them don't read it because it isn't in spanish.

I think your blog is so great that it should be avaible in a lot of languagues, you share a lot of love with the world through your blogging and a lot of people read it. I don't know how much work would it take to you to hire some people to traduct your blog to some lenguages. It will make your blog have much more impact in this world since much more people could read it.
