Why is "for Smart People"? Both the blog name and the book title.

In one of his blog posts, I've read it's about people who are polarized.

Anyone read about anything else?

The blog's tagline was called "Smart People" first for a few years. When Steve decided to write his book, he decided to use the same name. It had some name recognition among other things.

I heard him say in a speech that about 90% of people believe they are "smart" (or maybe it was "above average intelligence) so it's something a lot of people identify with. Basically a gimmick.

I wouldn't call it a gimmick myself. I think it's a smart play on words to compare to all those guides "for dummies". Basically, it's about taking a smart approach to personal development that requires a lot of internal work, as opposed to the "dumb" approach to personal development that requires you to simply buy a product such as a book or audioprogram that will instantly and magically solve all of your problems and make you rich beyond your wildest dreams effortlessly and quickly.

Oh yah, I didn't think of the play on words contrasting on the "for dummies" line. Good point.
