Hello everybody, I am from china.I want to buy this book. But in china ,it is not easy to buy the book. there is neither bookstore nor website imported this book. So if I want to buy it,I must order it on the Amazon. The cost of shipment is high .which is about over 70RMB.the total cost of this book is approximately 200RMB. it would be the most expensive book I bought until now. PS:how many pages dose this book has? Last edited by ruanber; 12-29-2008 at 11:47 PM. Reason: grammar errors |

I'm also in China right now and would like to buy Steve's book. If there is a PDF version I would be interested to buy it online. I just hope it's easy to extract the text, because I usually read ebooks on my cell phone in the subway, and I have no plan to buy a kindle right now. Maybe another solution for the hardcover version would be to find other people who are interested, and buy it together. (not sure whether the shipping costs would be the same) |

In some way I also prefer the paper version, so it keeps me away from screens. Anyway, I think I will consider buying it later.

Hey Guys, In Guangzhou all the bookstores are checked by me and my staff. Even in Hong Kong I can not find the book. Maybe all the Chinese wannareads can gather virtualy and we order 10 books or whatever we need, send to one address in China and distribute from there to the other wannareads in China. And Steve has accommodation in Guangzhou, when he decides to spread his love and courage over here. Take care and keep looking for that book guys! |

Argh! This is a problem that touches me. There is nothing worse than people being unable to access text when we have the internet. I wonder how Steve would feel if I started up a pirate operation for people where the book is not available I have a scanner, the book, and OCR software. Would be fairly trivial to pirate it. (Incoming ban on this account! It's a really good book and it kills me that some people aren't able to buy it. |

I am willing to lend out my copy. We could make a mailing list, each person in turn reading the book and sending off to the next person on the list. That way everybody would only have the mailing costs to pay |

Thanks for your idea, Eva. I fully agree with Yossarian, that is is crazy not to get any information you want in 2009! So what can we do besides practicing our patients? In week 13 I get clients to visit me, so I will make sure they will bring a copy. It takes time, just like a good wine |

This would be making his own book available to parts of the world where it isn't for sale. Not that I'm going to do it or anything. I'm sure Hay House would be mad. My post was tongue in cheek.

Wouldn't it be great if we could create a fund to sponsor Steve's books being sent off to faroff places? People could donate as much or as little as they want through PayPal. People in the know could arrange to ship the books to people who requested them. Yeah, that'd be awesome. |

I've been living in China for some time now. From what I understand if you were to approach a local foreign owned bookstore, ie: Welcome to The Bookworm Chengdu | 欢迎来到成都老书虫 they would be able to order the book in for you, possibly without the shipping and handling costs. I'm curious to know how a book gets accepted for translation into a Chinese version?

I am glad you are able to visit this website, I was under the impression that so much on the internet was censored in china, and everything was government style factual or innocently child-like, except for the human rights abuses. Are things improving with internet censorship and such? |

Hahaha. we are in a cave signaling with smoke signs and sending birds called M,S and N to each other with messages. We, or let's say I, I do not get Facebook, twitter and youtube. Most I can get... Yet when realizing these are sites that waste time anyway, I start caring for sites I could see and add value. What I mean is, that every down has 1 or more ups. BTW pirating sites are also blocked, so no Jack Sparowing here |
