Recently I received PDSP, and as I read it, I kid you not, I got shivers up my spine. Things started to make sense. My life felt like it clicked, ever so slightly, around the wheel. It was an "Aha!" moment. I had read about them on the forum and I thought that since I had followed Steve's stuff from the very beginning then I wouldn't be so much enlightened but boy was I wrong. I saw why my idea of what a Darkworker is, was wrong. It made sense so completely that I was thrown into a new perspective. Before I always assumed to be a Darkworker you had to reject the idea of unconditional love...how wrong was I?! Unconditional love for yourself and everyone around you is ESSENTIAL for Darkworkers because how else do you achieve true happiness? Oneness is essential because otherwise you cannot properly connect, and you cannot properly get what you need from others. Others are you. You are others. So therefore Darkworking is merely moving parts of yourself that are currently spread out into a concentration. Helping yourself, is helping others, helping others correctly is helping yourself because if you improve your world, you improve yourself... Duuuude...it all makes sense...it's so clear that I was in a way right to choose Darkworking, but I was in some respects immature about the way I approached it, favouring to distance myself rather than connect... Its all too much for me to make a coherent post but I hope I have somewhat conveyed the sense of what I mean. |

Hah! its funny you say that Daniel! Because my first thought when I experienced this was, OH god...do I resonate better with a Lightworker ideal? And then I realised that I wasn't, because I still viewed things in terms of how it made MY life better. So its all good.

It's really weird, isn't it, coming to that understanding. Totally outside your normal perspective. I'll tell you right now, don't try and cram this inside one of your beliefs, because it won't work. I tried that once, and it's just not possible. This is much bigger than Darkwork or Lightwork, much bigger than any perspective you could possibly have. You aren't going to be able to make this make sense in terms of Darkworking; the best you can do is try to make Darkworking make sense in terms of your new understanding. Ultimately you will fail, but that doesn't matter as long as you know that what you believe isn't necessarily Truth. Your new understanding isn't a belief, it is actually completely outside of the system that belief is even based on, outside of the system of words and logic. You can't use the air inside a balloon to contain the balloon. Your belief is the air that inflates the balloon; it gives the balloon volume and dimension, but it can easily be replaced by any other gas (belief) of your choosing. Conversely, the balloon is what contains it all and gives it a structure, without which it would dissipate into nothingness. You are free of Darkworking, and of Lightworking, and of any other working for that matter. You are free as long as you don't try to fill your air with a balloon. I think about this stuff way too much. |

Like I think I remember Steve writing somewhere, lightworking and darkworking ends up in the same place. But choosing neither gets you nowhere. It's like running into a tree, you have to choose between going through the shadow or through the light, both get you to the other side and straight ahead. But if you don't choose you will never get past the tree. You could climb over the tree, but that's just too damn hard. |

I disagree with this conclusion. This is not Satanism. It sounds neat but highly idealistic. Besides, I read Tolerance vs. Love by Steve. It said that tolerating everyone and everything is not loving oneself. Naturally. Tolerating abuse is not love of self. I don't see myself as "everyone." I don't see everyone as myself. I am unique and separate. I come first. I improve my world by limiting contact with "the ever-gullible herd." I want to have oneness with self, not with the universe. I think this "epiphany" is a manifestation of guilt that accompanies such a polarization, correct me if I'm wrong.
