I'm pissed!!!

I ordered PDSP ages ago at amazon.fr. OK, then it was released earlier, but amazon.fr kept saying I'd get it in november. Bleicke on the other hand wrote that it was already immediately available on amazon.de. I canceled my pre-order on amazon.fr and ordered it from amazon.de. Then nothing, and nothing... And now I just got an email from amazon.de saying they would send it in november after all!

AAAAARGGHHHHH!!!

I am so happy!!!!!!!! My three copies arrived today! I thought it would take another 2 weeks but no! I'm ecstatic!!!!!!!!

Always order from Amazon.com. Avoid dodgy fringe sites unless you're desperate and have no better options. The Americans are just on a whole other level. They're also in a whole other level of dept, heh (sorry; bad joke), but their systems are top-notch.

I recommend you cancel your order and buy from a retailer if you really want it. It should be out now. Buy it from a retailer *before* you cancel your order, though!

Be sure you have ample time to read and consider Steve's book. It's not just something you can read--it requires thinking and application (not really exercises, just actually using the ideas; otherwise there's not much point). So if you're busy, consider waiting. Up to you.

I'm still waiting for my copy, although I have another Erin-shipped copy that got here quickly (thanks, Erin! And Steve!).

I haven't checked the mail today. I get the feeling my Amazon copy might be here (I sense when the mail gets here; might be subconscious prediction; might be oneness connection; might be psychic reading; hard to say). Will update you if it is.

I got mine through Amazon. But I cancelled my order a few times because the estimated delivery time was really long initially and then it was shortened when I ordered again.

It was shipped on the 25th of September and received yesterday on the 15th of October so that's around 20 days. Which is fast for Amazon... It usually takes them a month to send stuff. However it does say in the order info that the delivery estimate is the 1st of November. So that's 15 days early

My Amazon.com order shipped on September 25 and arrived yesterday (15 October 2008). All times are in GMT+10.

So it took 20 days.

I assume my order shipped later than it would have since PDSP was available before the other book (i.e. The Truth About You) that I had shipped with it to reduce shipping costs. Amazon give you the option of shipping an order only when all items are available.

I remember Amazon being faster, but I'm not worried.

Edit: if HyperChiller had his book sent on 25 September then maybe my Amazon PDSP book was only available then, too (and didn't need to wait on The Truth About You; it's hard to determine). Unless HyperChiller ordered another book with PDSP.

I ordered mine from booktopia and it got here on Monday (13th October), I think 2 weeks after I ordered it.

I think I orered mine through amazon.com, and I got it (in France) like two weeks ago. It had shipped from New Zealand.

I noticed the estimated delivery time was later than when the book actually arrived. I suppose they make long estimation to avoid customer disppointment if the order is delayed, but in general it arrives faster than expected. So it's possible you get your copy before november!

Today I finally found the book on my desk!

I live in Poland, and I ordered the book via Polish online shop, which imports books, they offer books - inter alia - available in Amazon (I guess that PDSP came directly from US, but I'm not certain); my order is from 30 September. So it took 16 days to deliver.
It's strange that you have to wait so long, Rose of Cairo...

Me too. Took 2 weeks to get it. Amazon.com has gotten faster, since it usually takes around a month or even 1,5 month to get osmething. But last 2 orders have been here in 2 weeks

Read it on the way back in the train, and tried to read it at one go. But after one chapter, I just had to close it and ponder about it. Steve's book just makes you think! It's evil I tell you!

Hey, Steve, this delay problem (not to mention the aesthetic disdain problem) could be taken care of by making the book available on Kindle. Is the publisher not interested in doing that, after all?

Funny about the cover, I thought it was rather iconic, especially compared to many of the other bland Personal Development books out there, or the ones with covers full of testimonials and promises.

I finally got my copy a few days ago, but only just saw this thread.

It didn't turn up until I resigned myself to the fact that it wasn't going to come until the 28th of October. Then 20 minutes later it was dropped off at the from door.

I still don't know what to do with it, I was so looking forward to it, and now, I'm not so sure. I think I should read it.

Funny! Same here. Amazon sent me an email saying it would arrive in November. I was so pissed that I started this thread. It took me about three days to fully accept that I'd read it in November. And poof, once I had accepted it, after one hour I got another email from Amazon announcing they had just sent it.

Woohoo I received mine yesterday!

I've had a read of the first two chapters so far. When I have finished I will review it. I like what it says so far and I really love the way steve writes, his words are just so easy to comprehend.

It's so funny to think I have been on this site for a while now and now I am reading a book written by the "Mr Steve Pavlina". It's really special that you can interact with the writer of the book and discuss thoughts with like minded people, that's pretty cool

I'm fairly certain that Australia won't get it. Steve isn't an established author yet so if the book does come to Australia, it won't be for at least 6 months.
