I was told the German rights for my book have been sold, so the book will be coming out in German at some point. I don't know when or where though. This is pretty cool knowing that these ideas will be shared in multiple languages. Since the book's core concepts are culturally independent, the key ideas should translate well. Persönliche Entwicklung für Intelligente Leute??? |

I doubt they'll translate "smart" with "intelligent", as there is a difference between being smart and being intelligent. I guess "smart" would translate more to "geschickt" or "clever" or "schlau". How cool the book will get translated! I join Brutha on this: in case you need someone who speaks German fluently and knows you and your book, I'm ready to help out too. |

I'm not sure, but based on what I've seen I think what they publish is quite new agey and more about holistic health and esoteric stuff. Their public is not the corporate environment you seem to be targeting, if I remember your thread about the book cover well. | |

Hi Steve, great news, though please please please make sure that they translate at least the keywords properly. I have read so many badly translated American textbooks, that I always read the original version now. Quote:

Yes, 'für kluge Köpfe' ist best, I agree - although I would prefer 'Persönliches Wachstum für kluge Köpfe' myself. I guess it will be a while for the book to be published in German - publishers normally want to see how well the book sells in the original language first. |
